Do any of you actually just call the CO reraise? I just don't see any raise being anything but all in here, I can't raise again for anything but a push given the action around the table PF. What does a minraise do there, if anything at all? And I just could not put him on a pair better than JJ with that limp/reraise move. Anyone concerned about me killing action w/ that push (there's already $75 in the pot)? Or concerned for my stack?

UTG ($199)
MP ($196.70)
CO ($192.95)
Button ($101.50)
SB ($50.15)
alias2211 ($303.60)
Preflop: alias2211 is BB with J , J .
2 folds, CO calls $2, 1 fold, SB raises to $8, alias2211 raises to $20, CO raises to $32, SB calls $24, alias2211 goes all in for $303.60, CO goes all-in for $192.95, SB goes all-in
for $50.15.
Flop: A , Q , J (3 players)
Turn: 4 (3 players)
River: 2 (3 players)
Results in white below:
SB has 7h 7s (one pair, sevens).
alias2211 has Jd Jc (three of a kind, jacks).
CO has 8h Ad (one pair, aces).
alias2211 wins the main pot $147.45 with three jacks.
alias2211 wins the side pot $285.60 with three jacks.
$3 is raked from a total pot of $436.05.
Analysis in white below:
My original thought of the large $20 raise on my first PF action was to get all in against the SB who seemed interested in his hand. Since he was short stack, I felt like his range of calling hand materials would increase, so I put on the afterburners w/ JJ. Then CO RERAISES ME AFTER LIMPING IN HIS FIRST ACTION. Normally I wouldn't just go around pushing JJ from BB to a reraise, but this particular reraise looked awful. I just didn't believe that he had the type of hand that he would not have made a substantial raise with to begin with, all he did was limp in CO and he was certainly aggressive, if not overly aggressive (previous hand _showed_ a push of J5 diamonds on a 4 flush board after taking it down). Given my read of his level of aggressiveness, do you think it's optimal to push against that wacky reraise from CO? As for shortstack SB, I felt that, if he had JJ beat, more power to him for the price, and that I could still come out ahead against CO with that move he tried on me, assuming that he called my push.

I'd slap you if you min-raised. I put him on a way bigger hand than Ax. I think here i've decided im dominated or in a coin flip, i call that bet and see the flop. When it comes AQJ I try to get AI and hope im not unlucky enough for him to be holding AA QQ K10.
The guy was a total donk though.

I think a push here is a bad move regardless of the result. If you get called, you have a great chance of being a coinflip at best. Calling and then pushing the flop is fine.

after reading your analysis: when (bad) aggressive players first limp and then come alive I would be even more inclined to put them on AA. Call for set value.

Ok, sounds like the general consensus is to call and then see flop. I agree with that in a general sense. But as some have suggested, a call would have been really difficult to play there post flop, considering what fell.
I suppose this particular hand was so read-dependent that it does not appear to make sense, so I'm glad you guys chimed in. I did end up making the right read, about which I'm very happy, but in a way we both got lucky: he spiked top pair and I caught my set. I just got luckier than him. I still can't believe he called my push. In the end, this opponent wasn't really capable of limping a monster PP from the CO position. Let it be known that I would never make this push against a more solid player, I would always just call from that spot to see if I could flop a set and destack
thanks guys!

I don't know what's more bizzare about this hand... that he limp-re-raised A9o from the CO, or that you don't put him on QQ+ when he does it.
