Since i have been reading sauce's guide to 6max i have been 3betting a lot more preflop. And i get the idea this is generally what most players on here consider the way to go.

Still have problems when getting 3bet myself though. So the most important thing is putting the guy on a range and find out if he is just 3betting like a monkey or he's a nit.

I use RealTime HUD and it shows everyone's 3betting stats. What would be a good 3betting % in general? I assumed so far anything over 10% was 'like a monkey' and anything below like 4 was nitty. Would you say I am right?

Also if a guy is over 10 is any AK/QQ/JJ an easy 4bet/shove? Cause i still feel dumb jamming AK into AA/KK all the time.

Thanks for the input guys.

i would like to know more about this as well.

at 25NL 6max on Full Tilt i'de say 1 out of every 8 of my pre-flop raises gets re-raised to $2.90 like clockwork (everyone does 2.90 for some reason).

what kind of range can you put these people on and what do you need to re-raise or push it back?
Liter of cola.

I give no credit to 3bets from the blinds on full tilt anymore. I will four bet small to about 6.5 or 7 a ton and show a lot of profit from it. Either that or flat it in position and float a lot of flops.

I'm afraid that Sauce's guide will become obsolete once everyone else can see 3-bet stats. Wasn't the main strategy to 3-bet a ton of hands, while appearing nitty? That won't work anymore.
<SrslySirius> Hal Lubarsky, my nemesis.
<SaltLick> are you seriously losing to a blind guy

I'm pretty sure most people will still be dumb after they can see the 3-bet statistic.

I believe those are the exact opponents the guide was designed to exploit.

am i the only one here who plays without use of any additional software? i kind of enjoy playing just with my own feel and intuition, although it probably explains my lack of an ability to move up in limits.

i think its silly to not use the tools available to you. the vast majority of your opponents are using some sort of tool to get "reads" on you, so youre putting yourself at a disadvantage by not doing the same. talk to miffed about not using a hud, but he probly started using one again playing so many tables.

16tables of fr ftw with noi HUD.

i have to admit, the more 1/2 6max and 2/4 6max i play the more its clear you need HUD technology, but i still think not using it to start with gives an edge to 'old timers'
