Played a full stack session today and ran into some interesting 3bet spots.
Hand 1)
Villain is on half my tables, I don't have any reads on him but I've seen him before. The word 'tight' is part of his name and I hadn't seen him get out of line. I nudged my 3bet up a little bit because of stack sizes and because I figured it would look weaker to a reg.
Cake Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (6 handed) - Cake-Poker Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com
MP ($99.50)
CO ($300.45)
Hero (Button) ($130.65)
SB ($120.20)
BB ($68.39)
UTG ($97)
Preflop: Hero is Button with A , A
2 folds, CO bets $3.50, Hero raises to $12, 2 folds, CO raises to $27, Hero calls $15
Flop: ($55.50) J , 4 , 6 (2 players)
CO bets $19.75, Hero calls $19.75
Turn: ($95) 5 (2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets $31, CO calls $31
River: ($157) 5 (2 players)
CO checks, Hero raises to $52.90 (All-In)
Hand 2)
Same table, different lineup. MP is new to the table, BB is taggy. I was really tempted to just fold pre since I might not have much FE after the flop, it turns out I was right. So comments on preflop and flop (should I have bet like $28 here instead?)

BB checks, MP checks, Hero bets $34, 1 fold, MP raises to $84.50 (All-In), Hero folds
Total pot: $113.50 | Rake: $2
Hand 3)
4 hands later... (taggy BB from last hand is UTG this hand)

UTG bets $4, 2 folds, Hero raises to $16, 1 fold, UTG raises to $47, 1 fold
Total pot: $33
Hand 4)
It plays itself after the flop, but how is this preflop and what are we doing on a different board?
Cake Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (5 handed) - Cake-Poker Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com
MP ($20.80)
Button ($124.92)
SB ($115.85)

Hero (UTG) ($101.50)
Preflop: Hero is UTG with J , J
Hero bets $3.50, 1 fold, Button raises to $11, 2 folds, Hero calls $7.50
Flop: ($23.50) 6 , J , 7 (2 players)
Hero checks, Button checks
Turn: ($23.50) 4 (2 players)
Hero bets $18
Second thoughts: weak lead on the flop?

Hand 1: I bet the turn bigger. He either has it or he doesn't. Otherwise fine.
Hand 2: I fold this pre despite the pot odds since stacks aren't deep.
Hand 3: I don't 3bet JJ vs an UTG raise by a TAG. Call and play a flop. Fold as played.
Hand 4: I like it just the way you are.

Yes, this. Also, as played in hand 2 I'd fire smaller.

1) I usually just ship this in preflop cause stacks are great for 4 betting but as played I don't see a problem
2) fold pre check the flop as played.
3) this is really bad. Call instead of 3 bet unless you have a read to 3 bet then once you 3 bet don't fold
4) I would play it the same as you did

1 i think preflop is good for balance against someone ur battling with, probably just ship it vs someone you perceive to be very tight, but as played id raise flop small and get it in, as played yawn obv
2 uhh def fold pre, and probably check flop but if u bet why not just bet 17.25? ur 34$ bet looks fairly weak and its incredibly inefficient
3 o god this is terrible. if ur not 3betting to 5bet then do not 3bet a hand this playable with only 100bb
4 standard/yawn DO NOT lead flop

these are some of the most tilting hands ever
hand 2: jesus christ fold preflop
BB is "taggy"? as in when he 3bs PF he's willing to stack off on the flop?
hand 3: JJ is not normally part of my "3b light" range
can't 3b for value and fold
that's not how it works
when you put in a 3b you're either bluffing or you're willing to felt
that's why I flat PF yo

This is too narrow minded here. Pretty sure nuts is just referring to 3bettin JJ in SB vs UTG. There are many spots where u can 3bet for value and fold to a 4bet.

Are you referring to the first call on the button, or the call behind of the squeeze?
I agree with most people on hand 3. It's really bad to 3bet a playable hand in this spot, when your plan is to fold to a 4bet, in a situation where you're going to get 4bet a TONNNN.
Hand 1 - If I had been 3betting him a lot on the button vs his CO, and I expected a 4bet bluff coming, I think I would flat his 4bet pre more. But if this was the first 3bet or something, and there was no meta, I'd just ship it.

not against an aggressive player
if you have any chance of being 4b bluffed 3b/fold should be reserved for bluffs
obviously when you flat you have no such risk, so why even take the chance of being forced to fold the best hand?

Imo him being aggro isn't a factor.he will recognize he has been 3bet utg by sb thus isnt getting bluffed. Sb is obv value raising, his image which isn't maniac doesn't come into it as a big enough factor as I think u consider. So his 4bet from utg is a monster or flip. I think 3bettin JJ is mistake no 1 but it's so much more of a mistake to compound your error by losing your whole stack.
