No stats cos it's PKR, but Caprisa seems to be decent and somewhat tricky. 3bets, barrels multi-streets etc. DarkCanuk is some standard TAG whose game I don't rate very much.

Note the size of stacks.

$0.5/$1 No Limit Holdem
5 players
Converted at weaktight.com

Stacks:
UTG Hero ($218.03)
CO DarkCanuk ($343.62)
BTN stanners77 ($83.15)
SB pkfit ($113.35)
BB Caprisa ($218.00)

Pre-flop: ($1.50, 5 players) Hero is UTG
Hero raises to $3.50, DarkCanuk raises to $9, 2 folds, Caprisa calls $8, Hero calls $5.50

Flop: ($27.50, 3 players)
Caprisa checks, Hero checks, DarkCanuk bets $15, Caprisa raises to $56, Hero folds, DarkCanuk folds

Final Pot: $98.50

Caprisa wins $54.65 ( lost -$10.35 )
Hero lost -$9
DarkCanuk lost -$24

Is this always a 4bet pre?
As played, jam flop?

I think it's definitely feasible for Caprisa to have a combo draw here, and be marginally in front. Obv sets too.

Thoughts please.

I ran some ranges in PokerStove, although this might be too narrow for him:

Board: Ah 5h 7d
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 49.961% 38.40% 11.56% 6369136 1917689.50 { AsKh }
Hand 1: 50.039% 38.48% 11.56% 6382017 1917689.50 { AA, 77, 55, AQs+, 8h6h, 6h4h, 4h3h, 3h2h, AQo+ }

Crucial lack of replies imo.

This is an interesting hand, is SSNLHE dead or what?

I 4-bet preflop unless DarkCanuk is a huge nit.

I don't really like a 4 bet here - it's really going to narrow your range down and make it easy for your opponents to play against, especially deep, in position. However it does reduce the SPR, which reduces the importance of position (which is good for you obv)

I think a 4 bet depends on whether you play better than your opponents postflop, if you think they play better than you, 4 bet, so you can't make as big mistakes post, otherwise - call. Also I think another reason for calling is that you'll have position on the tricky guy. If the positions were reversed, then it'd be more of a reason to 4 bet.

As played, fold. you've still got DarkCanuck to act after you.

Thanks for the responses so far. I posted it on 2+2 after an at best lukewarm initial response here and most were saying that I had to get it in there and calling me a nit. I think the fold is fine, personally.

Is villain really calling a 3bet OOP with these suited connectors you are adding in his range? I don't know shit about 6m so when you say tricky, etc, I don't know what the hell is "standard", but that seems bad nonetheless.

Yeah I think that range is a little off, but I could add hands like 6h7h instead for a pair and FD.

Well I was thinking partly for *gasp* info and partly for value, depending on how they react to it. Toadstool's probably right though, it does narrow our range down a fair amount. I just figured the dead money would be worth it and I've stopped being shocked by how often so called regs make awful calls with worse to 4-bets when they're anywhere remotely deep.

As played I think a fold's fine. At 100NL no one's getting too crazy here post flop. DarkCanuk is showing a lot of strength by c-betting and Caprisa is raising him with you still left to act.
