I guess AK in the blinds isn't good anymore... haha

villan is 47/11 over 40 hands. To me, this could easily be some bad PP... It could be AA or KK also, obviously. For me this is either push or fold since i'm OOP.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (4 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

BB ($151.85)
UTG ($78.40)
Button ($133.35)
Hero ($118.50)

Preflop: Hero is SB with K, A.
1 fold, Button calls $1, Hero raises to $5, 1 fold, Button raises to $18, Hero raises to $118.5
Final Pot: $238

Villan is a solid, 16/11, he may think i three bet light because of my brother... but i'm not sure. I have three bet from the blinds probably once or twice before this at the hour i've been at this table. never seen him 4-bet.

(converter not working...)

hand 1: I like.

hand 2: A lot of people would shove here, but given position and the player described, I like the fold.

hand 3: jesus, insta-call.

What's your reasoning with hand 3? Pot Odds + the fact most donks don't push AA here?

not that he wont push AA, but he could push alot of hands here. tourney players taking a shot love to push any pair like they are used to.

yah I'm surprised by lukie's response on 3 as well.

If this was the original raiser pushing, I'd be more inclined to call this push. But this is a new villain who is faced with a raise AND a 3-bet, and he's pushing over both of them. I feel like we're at best against QQ here.

What range do we put the 4-bettor on?

So we are saying that 2 is a fold and 3 is a call because in 3 he shoves, as opposed to leaving most of his stack behind?

Hand 1 I think is interestings... if this is the first time villian 3-bets us, are we better off giving up, assuming that he's got QQ+, or shoving to show that we shouldn't be 3-bet light?

1 seems much better than 3, since you are not really getting a huge overlay for a 55-45 coinflip in 3, and he can fold in 1. And you have no read that he's stealing here. Or is there something telling in the limp-limp-raise-3-bet-4bet a/i. pattern.

Hand 1: shove is fine but Im not excited about it... expect to see AA KK a lot, idk if u have seen villain pull this kinda shitty slowplay before then u can fold... I think its close.

Hand 2: Insta muck.

Hand 3: Call, hes probably crazy.

Hand one is interesting and I like it. I've seen AQ and 99 do this alot.

Hand 2 is a pretty easy fold against cusefan.

Hand 3 I would probably fold but I am intrigued others say call so much. I do tend to give these guys too much credit.

his range is certainly wider than QQ. If we throw in one or two worse aces, and put his range at JJ+ (maybe QQ+.. havent done any math here..) this is a good call. I think his range is wider.

we have approximately the right odds to call in hand 3 even if he has an absurdly tight shoving range here of AK/KK/AA.

We're losing an edge against QQ- by folding and we're obviously ahead of anything else he'd be crazy enough to shove with.

I wouldn't fold here unless I thought the guy was insanely nitty, e.g. range of KK/AA.
