Hand 1
-villain in this hand is reg fast eddie. In general he owns my life, and think I've lost the most to him out of all regs on stars
-he is sometimes a station, and pretty sure I've bluffed into his station-ness a million times in the last year or so
-today he seems to be playing very solid though, folding to most 3bets and hasn't gotten too out of line
-he is calling a bunch of my button raises in the blinds since I'm playing very loose pre
-he has folded to most of my barrels so far. I have over-bet on the river 3 times this session and he's folded all of them
-two seconds ago on a different table I raised utg, sb fish calls, he calls in the bb. He donks into me on K92 board I call, turn he doubles and I fold

Stacks:
Hero (CO) ($712.35)
BTN ($880.70)
SB ($742.20)
BB ($609)

Pre-Flop: ($9, 4 players) Hero is CO
Hero raises to $21, 2 folds, BB calls $15

Flop: ($45, 2 players)
BB bets $33, Hero raises to $80, BB calls $47

Turn: ($205, 2 players)
BB checks, Hero??

Hand 2
-I had no reads on the villain at the time. I'm new to this table, 2 mins ago I saw him flat a flop cbet with 89hh on 68Th flop IP, and then called a flop sq IP and called a turn overbet shove on a 2h and lost vs a set 666
-am I a nit for wanting to check back here?

1) I'm not really sure what to do here. I feel like he can mix it up and c/r twice here and probably doesn't have much of a c/c range here. I think I check turn and bet blank rivers.

2) From his sizing I feel like this is 910 or random bluff frequently. Unless there was some
timing give away I don't think I'd check back river. I wouldn't bomb it though. Just bet halfpotish maybe a bit smaller. If he insta checked river I would seriously consider checking behind though.

Not really sure how I feel about both tbh.

2 is strange just caus his sizing on the turn seems small to me....in a strange far away theoretical poker world I could conceive of value betting and getting called by worse, but unfortunately we do not live in that world. Check seems safe.

Hand 1 I think we can check back and call most rivers improved/unimproved and value bet when checked to. I just can't see b/calling being good and I think this is the kind of board you will get jammed on a bunch because it's such a shitstorm of scariness.
Family Cruise IMO

1. Flop raise seems fine to me. Turn meh, I guess I like checking slightly more than betting.

2. You could bet to induce but without reads I'd check.

hand 1- I hate your flop raise from a theory perspective, you get blown off of the best hand way too much. once you gin the turn id typically bet/jam good cards and fold to a turn CR, just because I dont think he is playing T8 or JTdd like this, though that is obviously quite thin and its a disaster if he does CR you with those hands. but against a reasonably straightforward opponent who is cally and ur image sucks lets get stacks in.

hand 2- step 1- decide how you would play 87.
step 2- decide how he would play 87.
step 3- decide how he would think you would play 87.
step 4- ????????????????????? (maybe 1/3 pot)

I would probably call 78/QJ on the flop and fold most of those on the turn given the board pairs and we're not even drawing to the nuts.

If we bet 1/3 pot on river, are you folding to a jam? I feel like he should probably check AT/A9/9's/T's on the river reasonably often given all draws brick out and most ppl would bet AJ-AK there.

if you bet 1/3 pot its to get value from exactly like 55/K high/ 9x which CR flop, not to induce a bluff. the idea being that once he checks river u have the best hand like 75% so u can give him a chance to make an extra mistake given that you may have a reason to make a super small bet with the two missed open enders

Hand 1: Raising flop seems pretty bad. I'd probably bet turn just because you clearly could fire 3 barrels as a bluff here.

Hand 2: Honestly, Idk what the hell he has here. I'd probably bet 1/5th pot and fold to a shove. Can't imagine his range isn't super polarized, but I can't imagine him bluffing here.
Check out the new blog!!!
