Hand 1: Dont think theres really much reason to 4-bet Jacks vs a fish on your first hand at the table unless theyre even shorter than this, after that its hard to find a fold.

Hand 2: Dont c-bet, just c/c down at least til hes put in 95% of his stack like on turn.

hand 1 - you should shove preflop if your 4betting

hand 2 - seems ok, c/c is prob good too since its not gonna be hard for us to get his money in.

Completely disagree. If this is true then how can we 4bet bluff ever? I think pre you can just call as you have position, and SB can have a whole range of hands. As played I can't help we're beat the whole time, but his shit betsizing makes me want to call too. I think this whole situation could have been avoided if you made it around 52-53 pre or just called and reevaluated.

I don't think he'd c/r if he hit a Q necessarily. By his bet sizes he seems like a donk and they do the strangest things. I might even fold the flop bet since it seems like he wants the money to go in the middle, and 99/TT wouldn't feel that way.

I don't like it w/o a read that he floats the flop a lot. I don't like your reasoning about him calling light pre justifying whether he has a hand here. I think I'd just call the turn bet since it's so small, and probably c/f the river.
My sig is too much for you to handle.

freechus - check effective stack sizes in hand one.

So yeah, I think in hand 1 we can just shove preflop.

Hand 2 - I'd just c/c flop given he's short and probably a donk so we don't need to balance our range too much.

hmm at the time in Hand #1 I 4bet kinda small because it makes a lot of spewy people shove with worse and do stupid stuff ... everyone goes "ZOMG HE HAS AK or AIR".

His stack size is very awkward tho.. I see the point about his stack but I like giving a worse player the chance to make some bad moves. Why not?

hand 2

I don't know if I like c/c the flop because as I said he calls too much (just PF as far as I could tell, but that often translates), so perhaps we can valuetown his AK. He could just check behind on flop easily.
