Both are fine, although I might try a big c/r on the turn in hand 2, it depends.

Hand 1: with no read, I think I prefer betting the flop to rep the A

Hand 2: how are we not shoving when we close the action on the river?
I run a training site...

What are you putting villain on? River minraise seems very likely he has a boat himself IMO.

Hand 1: looks fine. Proceed with caution if he calls though and def fold to a raise.

Hand 2: I think Ash must have misread this one. He has a boat! I misread it at first as well. DEFINITELY shove over his river raise. OP did you misread your hand as well? Anyway, you played it fine until the river, where you definitely should have shoved over his raise. It seems clear he has a straight and this is easy money he is giving your full house.

I think its far more likely he has 3 tens, and a straight before he has a higher boat. You can't seriously fold here, and i think calling is just too weak. His range is a lot wider than just a boat here.

Maybe i should revise my last post from definitely, but i still think shoving is the best option. If he has k10, Q10, meh reload.

hand 1: fine, obv. shut down if called.

hand 2: He *may* have a higher boat now, but trip 10's and a straight are a larger part of his range and pushing is probably most +EV. That being said, i may play it the same in the heat of battle.

dont you think that in a 6 max game that QQ+ RRes pf here? and if QQ doesnt, theres no way they only call your lead on the flop w/ some connection to the board, and wanting to push AK out of the hand?

i am more worried about J9s or AJ, but its likely a T. i would hope against KT or QT, but i push here, too, most times. although, i can see a case for only calling....i just think its a bit weak.
LHE is a game where your skill keeps you breakeven until you hit your rush of random BS.

Nothing beats flopping quads while dropping a duece!

Hand #2 I think a call is fine assuming villain isn't a complete fool. I don't see how he got to the river with only tens, and yeah he could have slowplayed a straight but he commited himself with that raise where I'd think he'd want to leave himself some room to fold on a paired board if you pushed. Then again it's 25NL so who knows.

hand 2 - I'm with most other ppl on this one, I think you have to push here.

What boat could villain have on the river that WOULD N'T have raised any of the previous streets? I think QT raises flop/turn, KT also raises turn I'd imagine.. but maybe calls. That seems to be the only hand that might get to the river so passively.
