Im new at 25NL so only have around 10 hands on Villain - 90/40/2 so i think its safe to assume hes loose over a larger sample. I read a lot about double barelling on here but never really know when to use it. I think he would raise the flop with a decent Q, which is why I bet the turn, to try and push him off a lower pp or something like K10/J10. If im raised on the turn/river i think i have to fold. Any comments about how i played this?

How much would you bet on the river? I was going to bet $6.50 - but thought if he did have something like KQ, JQ or maybe even a worse Q then he might still call $8.

check turn (not a good double barrel spot in 25NL. double barrel in some places is fine, but I don't think its good here).
B/F river. 5/6 pot is fine.

In general you shouldn't 2 barrel air or marginal draws. against people who won't fold when they call the flop. If you have a hud add folds to turn bet 2 it. (Although the turn bet definitely could be for value). I would be value betting 7 or 8 on the river.

Good cards to 2 barrel are any ace or king or a card higher than the highest card on the flop. Bad cards to 2 barrel are cards that pair the board and any cards that doesn't change the flop texture like a 2 on a A107 board.
