Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)
Hero ($28.55)
UTG ($29.50)
MP ($13)
Button ($25.40)
SB ($31.75)
Preflop: Hero is BB with 7 , 7 . SB posts a blind of $0.10.
3 folds, SB (poster) completes, Hero raises to $0.75, SB calls $0.75.
Flop: ($2) 3 , K , 5 (2 players)
SB bets $0.5, Hero raises to $2.6, SB calls $2.10.
Turn: ($7.20) 9 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.
River: ($7.20) 4 (2 players)
SB bets $2, Hero calls $2.
Final Pot: $11.20
it doesnt seem like he would lead a 5 on teh flop
i guess he could check with a 9 on the turn.
is it a good call?

I'd fold the river, it's clearly a -EV call. It's hard not to call though because you just want to see wtf he had, but I think his bet is too small to be a bluff, I'd be more likely to call if he lead out for the pot or something. A better line is to call the flop then raise the turn for a free showdown, or to raise flop bet turn if you think he is on a draw.

you need to stop saying stuff like this, its not 'clearly -ev'
you played it fine vq, although sometimes i fire again on turn. they would have to be very vey passive for me to fold this on river.

It's marginal, but I call, if not for anything, then just for future reads/info. But I think a 5 is certainly likely, he tried to take the flop, but your call slowed him down. The check on the turn gave him confidence in his 5 again.

I've got thousands of hands at 25-50nl, and this line is KJ like 98% of the time. It might not be as clear cut of a fold as I said, but I can't imagine us being good here very often at all, I think maybe it's a 10-1 shot.

I agree with aislephive, this is going to be a K the majority of the time.
Reads could change a lot though, do you have any?

thats a 5 or a busted flush draw as often as its a K at 25nl. if the second card on the flop was an 8, then you could make a pretty good case for folding the river.
i would be more worried about the str8 having hit than him having a K. if he has the K9, then it makes more sense (trying to trap/CR with 2 pr), but not a KJ. either way, i call.

I think Aislephive is right - it's a weak king, and only a massive raise on the river is going to make him consider folding.
It *could* be 66-99 but I don't think so. I don't think it's a 5 as a 5 folds to the flop raise. I also don't think a missed flush bets like this at $25. K9-KJ is practically inevitable.

I think villain has a weak K. He called the flop raise then slowed down on turn. Heros check gave him confidence to bet river.
vcq, wut was the result?

I'd be more likely to call if he lead out for the pot or something.
