villain was a huge fish 60/40/2 over 100 hands. He was very tricky/dumb post flop (once I saw him check behind on FLOP/TURN a SET on a limped flop on a dry board!!). He also bluffed river with air IP if PFR checks FLOP/TURN.
I was running tight 19/16 (if he ever notices ). I had won a couple of small/medium pots vs him on the last 3 rounds.
On the turn, I think I should have bet about $33-38 (villain would have called with the same range).
The river is one of the worst cards in the deck! However, we have such a strong hand that there are a lost of 2 pairs hands (even maybe Kx) that would call our 1/2 bet.
His min raise is very scary, but he his representing such a tiny range here: 9x, 4x (maybe bluff) and we are getting near 5-1 pot odds.
Standard call?
No-Limit Hold'em, $2.00 BB (4 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com
Hero (SB) ($305)
SB ($202)
BB ($210)
Button ($200)
UTG ($145)
Preflop: Hero is SB with 5 , 5
2 folds, Hero raises $6, SB calls, BB calls
Flop: ($19) K 8 5
SB checks, BB bets $13, Hero calls, SB folds
Turn: ($45) 6
SB checks, Hero bets $26, SB calls
River: ($97) 7
SB checks, Hero bets $50, SB raises to $100, Hero ???

jeez, why arent you raising flop???
Vs donks you can increase you bet sizes where others may fold. turn bet is too small. River is tough to get value but its def a fold, id be more inclined to beleive its a bluff if he was to shove than minraise.

hmm, it's very unlikely that there are a lot of 9's or 4's in his range here, especially the 4's. k9/99/98 I guess. I dont see myself folding here, especially with these odds against this player (with your reads he's bluffy on river and slowplayed his strong hands), although i hate that it's a min raise
edit: i agree with the goat. i would raise flop against this player to set up a shove on later streets

Ahhhh!! You need to get more money in and stack da fish. The only thing I would be thinking about when I have a set against a fish, is what kind of raise or bet size I should use to be allin by the river!!
I'd say it's very likely he has 9x or 4x, well, because he's a fish.

What can I say, "need to be more aggressive" (doesn't that remind you something? )
Anyway, agree, raise flop vs fish.

definitely bet bigger on the turn, like $35ish, and fold river as played. i don't mind just calling the flop on such a dry board like this if the SB is likely to c/c here. that allows us to get a bigger bet in on the turn as an alternate to just raising the flop 3way. If hes going to c/f like always then just raise the flop ldo.
