Villain is 28/19/2 8% 3b folds to 3b pre 75%
$1/$2 No Limit Holdem
6 players
Converted at weaktight.com
Stacks:
UTG GateWay116 ($206.30)
UTG+1 tdiddy ($200.00)
CO NutsInYoEye ($309.50)
BTN M0M0N5Y ($206.45)
SB Abar_Mard ($280.05)
BB Hero ($283.80)
Pre-flop: ($3, 6 players) Hero is BB
2 folds, NutsInYoEye raises to $6, 2 folds, Hero raises to $18, NutsInYoEye calls $12
Flop: ($37, 2 players)
Hero bets $22, NutsInYoEye calls $22
Turn: ($81, 2 players)
Hero bets $44, NutsInYoEye calls $44
River: ($169, 2 players)
Hero checks, NutsInYoEye goes all-in $225.50, $199.80 to Hero ($199.80)?
Should I be vbetting river? No relevant history between us, but I had been 3-betting him enough that he shouldn't think my range is THAT tight, but I don't think I'd double barreled him before so I don't know why he'd float 2 streets with less than a jack. Also I have blockers to so many FDs so a straight draw completing is far more likely. He's never shoving river with a worse jack and he never gets to the river with air so I guess ez fold?

I had no idear he was FTR. I always see him at tables.
My coach has been telling me to 3bet smaller and more often so I'm trying it out.

I'd 3bet bigger OOP though. I don't mind this size IP, but it seems too small OOP.
As played, he gets to river with too many Tx hands that you gotta c/f here.

if he's folding to so many 3bets, you could call pre cuz you're folding out most hands you dominate (AT/KJ/QJ/TJ etc etc)
as said 3bet more oop and less ip
the way this hand played i dont think he ever has a J here.

C/f river. Bet a little bigger on flop + turn so you can ideally shove the river.
You can also check this turn as an alternate line.

3bet sizing is okay really vs a guy that folds to 3bets 75%++ but bspahn makes a good point that you should ideally polarize ur range vs these guys
