After running 4.5 ptbb/100 over my last 50,000 hands at $100nl, I deceided to take a shot at 200nl. I am overrolled for $200nl so BR is not a problem. After 5800 hands, I feel as though I can beat $200nl. Some things I have noticed is that there are more weak players at this level than at the $100 level. Every table seems to have a nit(14/8), a rock(9/5), and a weak tight. The good players don't seem that much better than $100, except that they use position more. There also seems to be more big pot hands. Is this because of players pushing more preflop and 3betting their draws postflop? There isn't that much more 3betting preflop, except it seems that the weaker postflop players 3bet more often than at $100. Is this because they are trying to hide their weaknesses? Is this more common as you move up? Is this why there seems to be alot more calling of 3bets preflop? The preflop raises also vary more, from 3x-5x. The good players at both levels are the ones who are raising at least 15% preflop as long as their VPIP is not out of hand(35+), however at $200 almost all of these players are raising 3x+1bb. I run about 21/16, should I also consider the 3x instead of my normal 4x?

Thanks in advance for any answers.

If you are doing well at 200NL and can find some minor improvements or adjustments, then do so. Don't look to change too much as that could get your game and confidence in a tailspin. Good luck and congrats on the progression.
