I've been playing villain for about an hour and I'm up a decent amount on him, but he just stacked me 2 hands ago in a standard spot with TPTK vs a combo draw in a 3-bet pot. He's kind of bad and stationy, the type of guy who likes to call preflop with stupid hands and then check-call the flop and the turn with bottom pair, but I'm guessing he'd give the all-in a little more respect. I don't think he's that good of a hand reader, he seems like he cares more about the absolute strength of his hand than how good his hand is against my range.
I haven't done anything way out of line yet in the match, he's only made one big bluff on a J85 flop with a flush draw, he check-raised the flop with T9o and bet the turn and shoved the river (both blanks) and I called him down with JTo.
Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $2.00 BB (2 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com
Button ($429.50)
Hero (SB) ($944.60)
Preflop: Hero is SB with 2 , 2
Button raises to $6, Hero raises to $22, Button calls $16
Flop: ($44) 5 , J , 4 (2 players)
Hero bets $28, Button calls $28
Turn: ($100) A (2 players)
Hero bets $72, Button calls $72
River: ($244) 10 (2 players)
Hero bets $822.60 (All-In)
It's $300 for him to call.
1. Is this good or just terrible?
2. If this is good then which river cards should I NOT be emptying the clip on? I'm check-folding a J river ldo, any others?
3. Does the fact that he just stacked me make it better or worse?

Before i assess... what did you think he'd fold when you bet the turn?

I think he folds some medium pairs and some gutshots that floated the flop. The turn bet obviously isn't profitable in a vacuum, but I did it because I thought it would set up a profitable river bluff. He calls the turn with lots of flush draws and jacks and I was betting that he'd fold them to a river jam unimproved.

What's his calling range of your 3-bets? Had he been calling a lot of them, or 4-betting a lot and calling some?
I don't think this is terrible. I don't mind the turn bet too much, as a ton of midpairish type hands will call flop and I'd bet like KJ/QQ/KK on this turn for value.
Just sucks that AJ is definitely big in his range.
