maybe i'm a nit, but i'd check river in hand 1 and fold in hand 2 most of the time unless I had a read on villain that he donks weak. I'm just not sure donks will fold k10o here all that much.

Yeah I'd check back hand one - people don't generally believe on paired board + you have some SD value.

Hand 2, If you're going to raise, I'd shove. That's got the best chance to fold some stubborn pair. People with wide VPIP/PFR discrepancies I find see bigger bets as stronger.

Hand 1 - Yah I'd shutdown for sure, a lot of his weaker range is probably folding to that turn so he prob shows up with a reasonable amount of Qx here

Hand 2 - I jam here pretty often and I think it gets a good amount of folds. I expect him to have some nonsense 98 or something.. or who knows QJ, AQ. Knowing his timing would be helpful?
