1. UTG is 23/14 over 42 hands ATS of 14. MP is 35/26 and has been pretty active over the 20 hands he's been here, he's 3-bet once already.

No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

CO ($63.85)
Button ($50)
SB ($51.50)
Hero (BB) ($95.30)
UTG ($30.90)
MP ($33.90)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q, Q
UTG bets $1.50, MP raises $5, 3 folds, Hero?

Can we ever fold here? I'm sure felting this preflop can't be too bad based on stack sizes, but I feel like if I 4-bet I'm only gettin it in vs [QQ-AA Ak]

Thoughts?

2. BU is 28/19 (195 hands) ATS of 34, and has folded to 2 of 3 3-bets. Vs me he called BU vs BB, I bet 3 street and he folded the river. My image is aggro-ish but pretty clean and I haven't shown down a bluff or anything.

SB is another reggish looking guy on a few tables running 24/20 (71 hands) 3-bet of 5.6.

I think I'll take this down a lot here. Does this look alright?

No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

CO ($62.60)
Button ($50)
SB ($50)
Hero (BB) ($133.45)
UTG ($25.15)
MP ($22.10)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J, 10
3 folds, Button bets $1.50, [color=#CC3333]SB raises $5.25, Hero Raises 13.30

1) Fold

2) its fine obv with the right dynamic but it would be better to have ax or KQ or something for blockers when you do it. You should make sure villains are positionally aware and 3 betting regularly cause I'm sure not everybody at 50nl is this way.

1: fold. at best u will be flipping and why flip for stacks when u think u have an edge

2: meh i rarely make moves like that but from ur description it looks solid but as meeloche said, ax kx aq kq are better cuz of blockers.

How r ya likin 50NL so far? Notice any diff yet from 25nl?

Well obv killing it for 14BB/100 so far (568 hands lol) Came across a few mega ultra stations tonight, but it was saturday. if anything the regs I eoncountered seemed to fold more to 3-bets, but also 3 bet more themselves peflop. Early observations obv, I'll gain more info about it as I go on. I don't think it seems all that harder than 25NL though tbh.

1) we could call and fold to a 4bet/shove from UTG. i'm not super worried about the 3bettor. If UTG calls we have a 3way pot and some good implied odds for a set etc..

2) 50NL i dont think bluff 4betting is much of a necessity, people are generally 3betting much more for value than at higher levels, 95% of people at 50nl wouldnt understand balancing a cold-4betting range right.

It did seem like a spot where 1. their ranges were far from strong and 2. They would view my cold 4-bet as uber strength b/c who the hell cold 4-bet bluffs at 50NL?

For hand two I think it is one of those spots where we can't really tell you whether it was correct or not because there are going to be so many in-game factors that you will intuitively consider at the time when you make the play, and then perhaps not really be able to describe it after when you post the hand - but basically you had a really good feeling it's +EV given everything that has happened up until that point. Essentially, only you can really judge the hand correctly. If it turns out that the bluff didn't work this one time, you can certaintly use that image to your advantage later

Of course you could work out the math in this spot and figure out how often you need each player to fold given various different ranges and conditions and this should aid in developing that intuitive 'feel' on whether or not the situation warrants such a play based on your history/reads/game flow etc.

and yeah you're never really getting rebluffed here.

Yeah the reason I posted this hand was because I felt sure it was a good spot to cold 4-bet bluff, but the just moved up nerves got the better of me and I jammed the fold button like a pussy. It did feel +EV for both describable and undescribable reasons.

I think I'm over the jitters of moving up now and wont pussy out on my instinct again - something I never did at 25NL. I'll defo take the point about blockers, if I get another spot to do something similar.
