first session up at 100nl

1)villain is unknown, only his 2nd hand at the table. The hand before this i took down a good size pot where the same villain folded to a river bet where i had a set of Jacks on a JTxxKr board.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (6 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

saw flop|saw showdown

Hero ($184.25)
SB ($100)
BB ($50)
UTG ($20)
MP ($187.40)
CO ($43.35)

Preflop: Hero is Button with T, T.
3 folds, Hero raises to $4, SB calls $3.50, 1 fold.

Flop: ($9) Q, K, 6 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.

Turn: ($9) T (2 players)
SB bets $6, Hero raises to $20, SB calls $14.

River: ($49) A (2 players)
SB bets $36, Hero ???

2)Villain is pretty much unknown but seems like a pretty big donk over 15 hands. hes running like 16/10 but just seems bad.

those are tough spots
on the first i think i cry and call - i think we see a J here half the time and a 2pr/bluff the other half
on the second i think i cry and fold - A high is all we beat or flush draw maybe

hand 1: idk i dont hate a call, this is 2 pair a lot and sometimes like an ace that hit and had a flush draw before. i think its pretty close between call and fold where it probably doesnt matter too much.
hand 2: fold. overbets from bad players tend to be big hands. only hand i really see him bluffing with is 22 but i dont see that instainsta shoving. edit: actually could be a bluffed fd too but i still think fold.

against a donk i think this is strength more often. a better player might be thinking "2 pair board he has to fold like 90% of his range here i'mallin"

i dunno he has to b bluffing a lot for us to call here

1) I think I probably muck, there's a good few ways he could have a J.

2) Fold the river, he has a 7. More importantly, when you have an overpair against donks, make your flop bet $7.5, then your turn bet $21.5 into $23, then holy moly we have a PSB left on the river.

I think we have to call hand 1, it looks like a blocking bet enough of the time with 2p or an ace.
For Hand 2, I agree, muck.
Check out my self-deprecation here!

blocking bets usually arent 3/4 pot.

i dont think an ace is ever betting this river. now that i think about it, this is probably a JT, QJ hand. gawd, still cant get myself to click fold.

But if he actually has 2p or an ace here, it's enough so that he can save the rest of his stack if you push. If his other option is to check, then he's either letting you bluff him off because of weakness, or he's trying to make a call with a hand that only beats a bluff. From his perspective, this can be a decent blocking bet, size and all.

hand one is a fold because its not like he's merging his range against you.

hand two i kinda sorta wanna call without the timing tell, but with it i wanna call more. if it is truly insta insta insta then villain knew he was doing it before the card hit, and that makes it a call.

hand 2 was as insta as it gets. the river card fell and villains stack went in. I tanked for a minute and called and villain flipped AQ no FD.

hand 1 i folded and villain said i would be sick if he told me what he had, but i think he had a JQ/JK for sure.
