hand 1: ouch, this is kinda of a tricky spot. I call and re-evaluate on the turn here.

hand 2: after he raises, I push on the flop. to draw heavy to let anyone draw cheap. if he has 78, so what, we lost our stacks 2/3 of the time. as played, I do like the smaller turn bet though. we've hit our boat, and our opponent is most likely drawing dead. if he has a striaght or flush draw, I really like the play of giving him proper odds to draw to them, so you can stack him on the river if he hits. Of course, this guy was nice enough to give you his money right then, so you didn't have to worry about it.

Hand 1 is interesting because he could easily have limped AA or KK and have an over pair here... Have you seen this guy play a set? You should probably fold here unless you know he plays a set differently.

I fold hand 1. Very little invested. His 1 pair hands have outs and when your behind, your way behind.

Hand 2 looks good.

Pushing the flop on hand 2 looks more bluffy and will get called by a wider range.
Your re-raise shows tons of strength and will fold out 88-JJ a few times.
