Villain is 48/15 over 30 hands and loked like a typical station. I hadn't seen him much of his post flop game though so I was unsure as to whether there were any draws in his range here or not. If I include TT-QQ and A9 it's an easy call, but if it's just 2 pairs and sets then we obviously have to fold.

Thoughts?

No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (5 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

MP ($53.75)
Button ($26.40)
SB ($50)
BB ($36.50)
Hero (UTG) ($50)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with K, K
Hero bets $2, 3 folds, BB calls $1.50

Flop: ($4.25) 6, 9, 2 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $3, BB calls $3

Turn: ($10.25) 3 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $7.75, BB raises $31.50 (All-In), Hero calls $23.75

River: ($73.25) 5 (2 players, 1 all-in)

Total pot: $73.25

2. Villain is 12/8 nitty looking guy, but he has 3-bet once in 32 hands so I don't think he has QQ-AA too much here. His bet sizing leads me to believe he's on the bad side of nit and may be messing about with 77-JJ here. He reps really thin for value, but I think the river is a lol easy fold because I don't see him shoving as a bluff here really ever, and I'd expect him now to check a worse pair than mine that he'd been donking about with.

Does anyone fold before the river?

1 fold, Hero bets $2, CO calls $2, 3 folds

Flop: ($4.75) 2, 5, 5 (2 players)
Hero bets $3.10, CO raises $6.20, Hero calls $3.10

Turn: ($17.15) 3 (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $7.50, Hero calls $7.50

Hand 1
-Yah this is fine, i'm not folding here much. He could be value jamming worse

Hand 2
-villain is a mega nit and could def have slow played a bigger pair than you pre. Turn is close and a nit would often check back a FD, so turn should prob be a fold. River is a definite fold to such a nit.

hand 1 I never fold against this guy.

hand 2: his turn sizing is really weird/bad and leads me to believe he has 22/55 or some mid pp that just wants a sd, once he shoves river I fold, he could even have ginned 77 or 33 if he's terrible.
"This sure beats Super Mario Bros.!" is my ejaculation catch phrase.

1) because he jammed instead of a smaller raise I'm calling. You should be looking for timing in spots like this though.

2) I'd fold the turn. Your gonna have a hard time catching a player like this bluffing.

Yeah I think neglecting timing tells is a leak for me just now and something I need to address more.

I do remember his shove in hand 1 being pretty insta though like maybe 2 seconds. This would lead me to infer his range has more made hands than usual and he was just planning to check shove and did it instantly out of excitement perhaps. This a fair assumption and could it turn the call into a fold?

I'd think with a weakish made hand like A9 or JJ etc he'd be thinking more about whether to just flat or not.

1: I know we say call in this spot a lot but it seems more and more I'm walking into some funky 2 pair or nutted hand. I don't see them turning their draws into a bluff jam often enough here. I'd need some read that he's an aggro tard. Might be weak but meh, no one's going to exploit you with aggression at 50NL.

2: I snap fold the flop.

Hand 1: I call. I think he can easily value shove worse (and think theyre the nuts) and just because of numbers of combos youre in pretty good shape even if his range is TT and flopped sets. Throw in the occasional JJ or draw and youre over 50% equity.

Hand 2: River is the nuts or air, and a nit isnt going to have air very often at all. Any midpair worse than Ts is going to check behind or maybe value bet like 1/3 to 1/2 pot. Pretty easy fold I think.

On the turn I can see 77-99 betting for protection maybe, but a lot of nits are going to check them behind. I think given the betsize, we can call but were really hoping it checks down after.
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

Hand 1: i can't see folding here at all. i know that stations GENERALLY play draws passively, but based on bet sizing and the fact that there are probably 100 hand combos of draws, even if he only plays his draws this way 1/10th of the time, it balances out set possibilities. this on top of the fact that he's going to incorrectly treat A9 and JJ-TT like the nuts, yet freak out 'cause he doesn't wanna see a river with those cards, on top of the fact that stations don't very often raise the stone cold nuts 4.5x's makes me feel like you're prolly even better than 50%.

Hand 2: i don't know if it's right or not, but i'd prolly talk myself into playing this hand just like you did. a flop fold just seems so sick because even nits are capable of bluff min raising a 552r flop these days. i'd call with the intention of folding if he continues on the turn knowing that nits aren't going to continue with a bluff. once he bets that embarrassing amount though.....? river is definitely a fold
