Two very similar hands vs. solid tagg regulars running around 22/18/3. No relevant post-flop history with either villain.

Thoughts?

1. Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Holdem Ring game - Blinds: $2/$4 - 5 players - Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $197.40
Hero: $405.50
Button: $317.50
SB: $396
BB: $398.50

Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is CO with A

UTG folds, Hero raises to $14, Button folds, SB calls, BB folds.

Flop: 5

SB checks, Hero bets $28, SB raises to $65, Hero calls.

Turn: A

SB bets $115, Hero...

Interesting hands zook, I am curious what the comments on it will be.

My first reaction was call on both.
Then I started to doubt as that doesn't seems like winning most against worse hands (FD's), and loosing the same against better hands.
But looking for the 3rd time, villains range is so polarized here that calling seems right afterall. I just don't know.

If you call, are you always folding to a river shove?
If not, are you always folding to a shove on a flush completing river?

Fnord is an unknown quantity at this point

Hand 1: Stupid easy call. You're ahead of a lot of hands or at least have some outs.

Hand 2: I think the decision here is on the flop.

Also, I think you should be checking these flops behind some % of the time.

In both these hands the villians range is very polarized between sets and draws. Hand one I actually like raising this turn as you don't know what draw he has, Ahxh, club draw, str8 draw, etc and he can play near optimally on the river.

Hand 2 you raised from EP instead of LP so better aces are much more likely to be in his range as hes less likely to 3bet a10-aq. I would just fold this flop.

these are both really gross. I like folding flop in 1 but in 2 id be tempted to shove turn.

My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.

In the second hand there are fewer draws out and our hand is weaker. I think that's enough of a difference.

Against a player like the one described, I like to pick my spots carefully so game flow would also be a factor.

taggs dont flat low drawing hands in the SB, they flat pairs. They also lead or c/r huge with good draws, not c/r super small. Im way happier in hand 2 in my games.
