here's a couple spots where I'm in position and I felt barreling was appropriate due to them needing a pretty thin range to call down. now, in both cases I decided not to throw in the third barrel. from the hands they actually ended up having it's quite easy to see that if I had barreled even half pot on the river I would have ended up with more money, rather than losing both pots.

what factors would you generally consider when double and triple barreling spots like these where they can have a very wide range to call the flop, and the turn doesn't complete any draws etc.

in the first hand, opp is new and I don't know him that well but he seemed more like a reg than a fish (so I assumed he wouldn't just be super call stationy and could make folds)

with my hand here I actually felt I still had decent equity to hit as I rarely put him on more than just a 9 here (so i have 10 outs)

if you fire the river, how much are you betting?

$2/$4 No Limit Holdem
5 players

Stacks:
UTG Dixon01 ($457.00)
CO mo puerto ($25.65)
BTN sup2k305 ($524.85)
SB Escaped_GA ($404.00)
BB Hero ($398.00)

Pre-flop: ($6, 5 players) Hero is BB
3 folds, Escaped_GA calls $2, Hero raises to $14, Escaped_GA calls $10

Flop: ($28, 2 players)
Escaped_GA checks, Hero bets $22, Escaped_GA calls $22

Turn: ($72, 2 players)
Escaped_GA checks, Hero bets $56, Escaped_GA calls $56

River: ($184, 2 players)
Escaped_GA checks, Hero checks

Final Pot: $184

in the 2nd hand I decided i had no showdown value nor equity on the flop, so in hindsight I should have just let it go, but say you decide to barrel this and say I had at least some outs, say a FD or QT etc, how do you approach this hand on a double or triple barrel (he can have str8 draws, FD's etc plus I think Jx, TT etc fold to the double barrel..

opp was fairly nitty and I figured on the turn he would fold FD's, J and str8 draws mostly every time.

jimmy44 is on a distinguished road
#1: As turn doesn't change anything on the board I don't think this is a good 2nd barril. However, if you 2barril you have to 3barril the river.
#2: If villain is pretty nitty I just give up after the flop c-bet.
