-I think it's easy to just say 'lol call' here, but I think it's very close if you think about ranges and possible holdings here
-villain is 21/17/4 reg, and most of our hands together have been a lot of btn/blinds 3betting and 4betting. Not too much postflop at all
-flop check can go either way, I was going for a c/r to look like KQ/AQ/AK type hands
-villain is very narrow to b/3bet this river I'm prety sure

I haven't played in about a month so my instincts could be a little off here. My thinking is that there are only three hands that beat you, and only two are in his range (KT and KJ). He probably bets KJ on the flop so we can mostly rule that out. That leaves KT which makes sense and putting villain on one hand is something we are hardly ever supposed to do. The river 3 bet shows a huge amount of strength and is very rarely a bluff, but because of the weird way you have played the hand opponent could be spazzing out. I close my eyes and call.
Flopping quads and boats like its my job

So based on this... we think he's bet/jamming a straight here?

If we find it hard to believe he's flatting KT/KJ on the turn sometimes.. then its even harder to believe he's flatting AQ...

I realize I mostly only lose to KT and a few KJ, but what am I beating that plays this way? We can start talking about 3's full and T's full.. but then the flop action kinda messes that up.

Yah I agree, I think a river c/r is pretty mandatory here. Betting this river again with my hand vs his range is probably pretty bad, given he's betting almost all hands he has that will call a bet I'd imagine.

-Well KT is 6 possible combos, add in 3 of KJ
-to make 9 combos that beat us total. we're
-getting a lot to 1 odds (we need 30% equity) so he only needs like 4 -combos of other stuff and we should call
- so I'd call and go worry about global warming or something

i don't really think flop can go either way, seems like v clear bet. Its too likely he'll pot control a lot of hands, and its also not likely that you'd cf this flop ever except with like underpairs.

i would also just bet river.

you took a 'weird' line and are only beaten by a couple of hands so i wouldn't fold this

flop is 100% bet and river looks like a fold
My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.

ok assuming flop is a bet.

Let's say barrel this, 35 into 48 on flop, 90 into 120 on turn, leaving a river pot size of about 300 and I have 600 behind.

What's my best plan on river? c/bomb 600... or lead 240ish and re-eval?

Doesnt a lot of this depend on the perceived strength of our hand?
Just playing to improve.

As some said earlier, the only reasonable hand here that beats you is KT. I could as well see villain holding a K, AQ or even a cold bluff here since he might be playing your lack of a K.

To sum up, I would definitely call here and if he has KT, well good for him.

River seems close as far as betting or c/ring, but i like the c/r.

I really dont think you can fold.

I really hate your line. Is this one of those hands you didn't play yourself? I also hate it when people post some really dumb hand and when everybody calls them stupid they say they didn't play it themselves. :P

KT and even KTs (KcTc) seem thin pre for a 21/17 vs UTG open by a solid reg. I don't see how this is a fold. I just don't see it. Folders should elaborate imo.
