What exactly are we putting villain on when he checks this river? Something like a mid pocket pair like TT or QQ?

I like it. The bulk of villian's range is one pair hands or less and your bet is believable with the way the hand played out.

bdawg, calling here both on the flop and turn only to bluff the river seems counter-intuitive to me. I'm sure someone could come up with a situation here.. eg (eg. calling flop seems clearly like the best play, turn is close, and once we get on the river we're either good or he's folding to this bet without a flush, then it would be good but that assumes a lot). In general, I think this hand sucks, basically.
