First, I want to post this hand that we played exactly 66 hands before the hand in question. For the most part, the guy was playing pretty weak tight and floaty (mostly on the flop) with random fits of spastic aggression and hero calls. (As you will see) I figured I can barrel him off most of his range since the boards is so dry and I'm repping somewhat narrow. And thought 3/4 flop and 3/4 turn should get the job done but I ended up binking the river. This is the only hand I've shown down in a 3bet pot where I'm the aggressor.
$2/$4 No Limit Holdem

Stacks:
BTN ($745.60)
Hero (BB) ($400.35)

Pre-flop: ($6, 2 players) Hero is BB
BTN raises to $12, Hero raises to $44, BTN calls $32

Flop: ($88, 2 players)
Hero bets $68, BTN calls $68

Turn: ($224, 2 players)
Hero bets $165, BTN calls $165

River: ($554, 2 players)
Hero goes all-in $123.35, BTN calls $123.35

Final Pot: $800.70
Hero shows:
BTN shows:

Hero wins $800.20 ( won +$399.85 )
BTN lost -$400.35

Now the hand in question. We passed the blinds around for a few hands after that, with no pots over like $30. I should note that he draws passively from what I've seen. Turn is kinda meh but the last thing I want to do is fold 2 pair against this guy in the heads up unlimited texas hold em. Best line?

I hate your turn sizing in the first hand fwiw.
Given how he station'ed off the first hand to you and you threw in huge bets with nothing and he probably thinks you're a spew monkey, I'd happily just bet/call turn or bet turn and shove all non club/A/J rivers.

I agree about turn bet sizing with marshall, in fact I like betting the flop slightly smaller to induce him to float it, and betting turn like 1/2 pot (usually he'll fold) and you'll have 1/2 pot on the river to play around with

hand 2 I'm just never folding

I am

I do that sizing occasionally from Hand 1 to smoke and mirror my FE when I'm on pure air, which I think helps fold out the middle part of people's range I'm behind.

Anyways

I checked it to him without really making a plan and really regret not firing now that I think about it. Hindsight is 20/20 though right?

He shoved for 3x pot. fml

Fwiw he was 2 tabling and I had been watching his other table and he quit that one during this hand, so he might be trying to scoop this pot and end his session.

Do you call?

it's not even 2x pot because you're not that deep, I snap because it's pretty much normal bet sizing when you get to around 1.5x pot
I mean why can't he just have an ace with no club redraw

Yeah, my mental math sucks, sorry

He can have a naked A and that's why I called. But he didn't and thats why I lost.

I didn't want to be results oriented and wanted to make sure given the situation this never ever ever a fold.
