So I'm minding my own business, 6-tabling 6-max, when this happens. Villain is 60/17.

Hero (Button) ($128.40)
SB ($99.95)
BB ($54.30)
UTG ($107.00)
MP ($107.60)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 10, A
2 folds, Hero raises to $4.00, 1 fold, BB calls $3.00

Flop: ($8.50) K, 9, 8 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $7.00, BB calls $7.00

Turn: ($22.50) 8 (2 players)
BB bets $9.00, Hero calls $9.00

River: ($40.50) 5 (2 players)
BB bets $14.00, Hero raises to $56.00, BB calls $20.30 (All-In)

Total pot: $109.10 | Rake: $2.00

Results in white below:
Hero had 10, A (flush, Ace high)
BB had 7, 9 (two pair, nines and eights)
Outcome: Hero won $107.10

Villain starts calling me a donk in chat, I'm bored & start chatting it up with him, trying to tilt him or something stupid like that. Dunno what came over me really. Then I see this happen. (60/17 donk is KT in this hand)

Button ($85.00)
Hero (SB) ($203.55)
BB ($171.30)
UTG ($84.95)
MP ($102.00)
CO ($106.85)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8, 8
UTG raises to $4.00, 3 folds, Hero calls $3.50, BB calls $3.00

Flop: ($12.00) 4, Q, A (3 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, UTG bets $6.00, Hero folds, 1 fold, BB raises to $19.00, UTG calls $13.00

Turn: ($50.00) K (2 players)
BB bets $32.00, UTG calls $32.00

River: ($114.00) 8 (2 players)
BB bets $62.00, UTG calls $29.95 (All-In)

Total pot: $173.90 | Rake: $3.00

Results in white below:
BB had A, K (two pair, Aces and Kings)
UTG had K, 10 (one pair, Kings)
Outcome: BB won $170.90

He swears that he had AQ (I dunno if he's actually unaware that we can check the HH or not, but he insists he got 'sucked out on')

I manage to berate him into buying in full. He vows to stack me. Few orbits later this happens. This is the first time I've seen him 3-bet.

UTG ($101.00)
Hero (MP) ($181.10)
CO ($248.75)
Button ($114.95)
SB ($97.00)
BB ($103.90)

Preflop: Hero is MP with K, A
1 fold, Hero raises to $4.00, CO calls $4.00, Button raises to $10.00, 2 folds, Hero raises to $32.00, 1 fold, Button raises to $114.95 (All-In), Hero calls $82.95

Another few rotations later (after more shit-talking):

BB ($100.00)
Hero (UTG) ($106.90)
MP ($33.45)
CO ($236.65)
Button ($243.25)
SB ($105.65)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with K, K
Hero raises to $4.00, 1 fold, CO raises to $10.00, 3 folds, Hero raises to $26.00, CO calls $16.00

Flop: ($53.50) J, 10, 7 (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $210.65 (All-In), Hero calls $80.90 (All-In)

...does this belong in 'tales of poker'?

I think there is a case for flatting the 3-bet with AK.

Shitty flop for KK, but I'd go with it with an SPR under 2.

I think this is the best thread ever and am rating it 5stars.

Agreed with flatting AK.

Did the tilter wake up with AJ in hand 4?

AK < KK

KK < JJ

That tilted me and I had to leave.

I was just wondering if his previously more passive play with 2nd pair hands shoulda given me some warning bells when he got all aggro in the next two. *shrug* The many coolers of my last 20 billion hands

I felt kinda stupid here, getting all emotionally wrapped up in this villain. sigh...live n' learn.

I've noticed that a lot of these guys tend to be pretty passive about big money until they've lost a lot of it. Since 3-betting isn't his MO, AK is in worse shape than you'd think.

He was down almost a few hundred by the time the AK hand came around, but I don't doubt what you're saying about the strength of AK here...

nutsinho will become famous soon enough
hand 1 looks really bad, 2 standard
My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.

What makes the AK hand 'really' bad? I shoulda taken the 3bet a whole lot more serious from this villain since it was the first time I saw him do it and these guys don't usually 3bet light?
