and u decide its a good idea to 3bet J5?

Jack. Fucking. Five.

Oh right it was suited.

You're not making the correct adjustment here vs this player by 3betting garbage. This hand is played terrible preflop is horrendous spew you have absolutely no good reason to 3bet this hand.

Hand 1: I don't like pre. Any stealing stats? or his postflop folding habits?
As played call, this is basically what you wanted to induce.
Against an unknown I would bet flop.

Hand 2: I don't really get why you want to 3bet here pre. I'd play postflop the same and fold river. His range is strong.
If I want to bluffcatch sometimes in a situation I usually just pick the top of my range, which means I would probably call A8s+ or something.

Definitely fold hand 2.

Hand 1 is close i think, do you have any idea of how he plays post flop? People usually play pretty straightforward in 3bet pots, but if he's only folding to 3-bets 50% of the time, he's probably bluffing quite a bit.

Yah this. Hand 1 I'm snap calling. Hand 2 is closer I think, just based on how tight he is. His sizing looks like he cooould be value towning KK/KQ maybe, but I'm not sure from a nit.

these are good hands to call with pre, not 3bet

middle cards or suited connectors better to 3bet here for air range

Ha ha, your right that is pushing it. I am going through some insane stuff with SB/BB battles these days, I HATE HATE folding when the sb open raises me. I end up calling with somewhat playable hands and raising a lot of flops. I guess I just see it as a great spot where we can own them with position and I want to play the hand

I ran HEM filter the other day, for pots where the SB was first to open, and I was in the BB and called the raise bvb (3bet = false) and saw a flop.

Was pretty surprised to see that I was doing a lot worse than I would have expected (almost even actually), in a spot where I would have expected to have had a big advantage. There's a lot to be said for the SB having initiative when we call + not having much credibility with our flop raises bvb. Either that or I could just suck and spew too much IP bvb haha, but a good filter to check anyhow.
