Villain is good 20/18 with 10% 3bet. We hadn't played many pots together and I had the feeling he was trying to avoid playing with me. Can I just fold because I hate life or do I need to do some more checkcalling?

CO ($113.30)
Button ($261.10)
SB ($100)
BB ($100)
UTG ($117.35)
Hero (MP) ($924.55)

Preflop: Hero is MP with K, K
1 fold, Hero bets $3.50, 1 fold, Button raises to $12, 2 folds, Hero calls $8.50

Flop: ($25.50) Q, 2, J (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $17, Hero calls $17

Turn: ($59.50) 9 (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $44, Hero?

I'd fold now but my default in 6 max is to never flat 3bets OOP preflop.

poker is hard when ur deep and OOP. you don't think you can b/f turn against a thinking player because your line will look weak?

What's the reasoning for donking this turn? Doesn't really make sense to me.

if he was trying to avoid you it prob means he has a hand and you should 4bet and stack his AK..!!!!

id muck as well, although it does feel dirty its unlikely hes bluffing this turn
Nine to five is how to survive - I ain't trying to survive / I'm trying to live it to the limit and love it a lot //

Can offer RB deals on most sites, PM me.

Yea I mucked it. My opinion about his play was that his stack off range is KK+ so I didn't see much value in 4betting pre. I think vs him I'll be fine with a 4bet range consisting of AA and bluffs.

i hadn't thought about how leading turn and building the pot to that size would leave us in a check/? situation on the river. defintely better to check the turn.

i can see the merits of 4betting preflop. do you expect most boards to not be as tricky as this one to play for stacks on?
