Repping a flush doesnt mean he's folding his weak king. You need reads, is the guy tight?

he was new to the table so no reads but i figured the river raise was a pretty strong line.

It is a strong line but opp is the one who open bet the river there. I mean, what makes you confident you aren't raising a made a flush even 20% of the time? You only beat a pure bluff and are giving marginal hands good value to call. It seems to me if you were going to win this hand it would have been by double barreling the turn when checked to.

BARREL TURN PLEASE !!!

he can have a flush also ... dont bluff raise this river .. if he doesnt snap call your flop and turn bets and he checks to u on the river, then u possibly could get away w/ a triple barrel bluff

If he calls the turn and a blank falls you're good often enough to check behind.
