what's the best hand you call with on river
villain: 23/18/3.3

my hand looks like 2pr/set/Tx going for thin value

IF we bet turn whats the strongest we'll call a raise/shove with?

$0.5/$1 No Limit Holdem
6 players
Converted at weaktight.com

Stacks:
UTG Protector_ ($197.30)
UTG+1 gurgelapa ($109.30)
CO sugent ($118.00)
BTN pilz ($377.65)
SB Hero ($107.40)
BB Yorke19 ($100.00)

Pre-flop: ($1.50, 6 players) Hero is SB
4 folds, Hero raises to $3, Yorke19 calls $2

Flop: ($6, 2 players)
Hero bets $5, Yorke19 calls $5

Turn: ($16, 2 players)
Hero checks, Yorke19 bets $10, Hero calls $10

River: ($36, 2 players)
Hero bets $18, Yorke19 raises to $82

Final Pot: $136

Your hand looks like crap, not 2P or a set going for thin value. You should be bet/folding most of your stronger hands on the turn. Maybe something like Pair + Draw you'd c/c turn with, however you'd be more likely to c/c river with what is basically a bluff catcher.

Not really sure what I'd call with here, because I'm not sure what I'd turn up with here.
Just playing to improve.

say I grossly underrepped my hand, we basically need a read that opp can bluff shove rivers before we call this with close to the nuts?

being that i have a strong hand, i should bet/get it in on turn and if he calls value bet river. what "strong" hands would we fold on turn to raise or river to shove?

He can bluff catch a wide range on river, so he either thinks he has the nuts or close, or he's bluffing at weakness. If I wanted to b/c river then I'd want a good read on him before doing so.

Generally on turn I b/c sets and big pair+FDs, and b/f pair and 2P hands that cant/unlikely to improve. If he just called turn and shoved over a river value bet then without solid reads I probably only call with something like a Q high flush or better.
Just playing to improve.

the thing i didn't like in hind sight despite having used a dumb FPS line is that I snapped him off without thinking about it for even 10 seconds.

it's obv not easy folding the 4th nuts here but I should have at least thought about it, he had the nuts

People just arent bluff raising rivers much at 100nl on Everest, so they either need to be bad enough to do it with worse, aggro enough to do it as a bluff or you need the near nuts.

well ur hand definitively looks like Tx when you bet here. i think close to 0% of 100nl players will try to bluff u off that. I think most aggro regulars will shove a range of exactly every better hand. that leaves you with a simple pokerstove calculation.
My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.

so if I have a flush and played it deceptively and am trying to get a str8 to call here this is a reasonable river bet or would you make it close to put - id think i should. fold unless i have Qhi or better flush..

i think low flushes would likely flat a stronger riv lead

You look like you have something like a black 9T here. Even if a 100NL reg can read this, he's not going to try and bluff you off it with anything less than a chop. The rest of the time you're hurtin'.

I can't imagine any hand I would ever play this way...

I'm pretty sure almost my entire range is c/c here or c/r'ing and never leading and certainly never leading half pot and certainly certainly never leading half pot when I don't know if I wanna snap this off or jam over top.

So I guess my answer is... I would snap call with my entire range that decided to play this hand this way.
