this is a common spot that is occasionally happening, against a TAG i am getting a set on a dry flop and i play it like this. Since the turn raise is so strong i get a lot of folds. But also there is a few bad river cards that can kill my action or hurt me so i have to raise the turn. Any other suggestions as to how to play it?

I am not a nit FWIW

Thoughts ....

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

The guy is UTG, so no need to get fancy. Just raise flop.

As played, I don't mind raising he turn but I'd probably prefer to call and shove river or something.

He's never folding an over pair if you raise the flop. The line you took actually looks stronger than just raising the flop and betting the turn would fyi.

Yeah your line looks super strong on a dry texture like that.
I'd raise the flop & start raising dry flops with Gut-Shots etc. if regulars are giving you too much credit.
Currently thinking of a new quote/signature... Some sort of prayer to the Poker gods for enlightment etc..
