I think c/r is about our worst option.

I can't decide if b/f turn is an option...I almost never use it as a line after calling on the flop OOP and am not sure when it's good actually.

But we're a significant dog to villains range here when KQ hits.

I don't think villain is raising the flop with KQ here...and I agree check raising is probably a bad play, I might have just lead out on the turn and hoped to take it down right there.

Folding here because you're worried about KQ is ridiculous.

I'd probably just c/c, because I certainly dont want to fold, but if we bet and he raises again we dont like poker very much either way.

This is standard on this turn. The hand becomes more interesting if the board blanks off and you face multiple barrels.

Why is KQ not in villains flop raising range?

Noone said its not in it, but its certainly not the entirety of his range. You cant put a guy on a single hand and fold a very good one without a heck of a good reason.

    I didn't.
I based my comment on a flop raising range of 66/TT/98s/JTs/KQ to which we are a significant dog with only 24,5% equity on this turn, being oop and nearing the commitment point.

Ofcourse there's always some random other stuff in his range, but we're UTG against an unknown, we don't have a lot of info to be able to extend his range.

Should probably fold the flop if you can't consider your ace an out.

In thinking more about this hand, villain's flop raising range is probably something like:

    66,TT,JJ,JT
    98, KQ, AJ
    (maybe) QQ+

    (and if he's bad)
    AJ, KJ, QJ, AK?

    +10% bluff

Since we don't have a read, we should err on the side of caution & eliminate the "if he's bad" hands, leaving us with 10% bluff, and a range which we're mostly behind still after hitting 2pr.

So a c/r doesn't make tons of sense since we're blowing off the hands we do beat. QQ-KK might make a crying call, but I think we weigh them less because they'd probably 3bet.

Probably just shoulda folded the flop without a read. Being OOP sucks

Hero doesn't have nearly enough money behind to even consider folding this, so check-raising all-in on the turn seems totally standard. What is your alternative, call, check the river and then let your opponent decide whether or not to put you all-in?
