This is a full ring table that has fallen apart
Villain is pretty much unknown, weak 24-3 over 80 hands and folded to every c-bet he has encountered.
I limp cos i prefer to see a flop here, even oop. His perception on my range will be ATC, excluding high pairs...
Flop is gold, but pot is small - i want to keep him involved, but a flush draw is possible. Thoughts, cib? that gives all draws pot odds, but may induce some more action. Call, i don't like the flat cos i'll struggle to build a heavy pot. Decent raise? he likes to fold - 100% fold to c-bet so far.

Hero (SB) ($114.85)
BB ($113.10)
Button ($73.15)
Preflop: Hero is SB with 8 , 9
1 fold, Hero calls $0.50, BB checks
Flop: ($2) 6 , 7 , 5 (2 players)
Hero bets $2, BB raises to $6, thinking....

Raise it up pot, to $20. The only way you're going to make money in this hand is if he overvalues his sets/2prs/flush draws. Almost half the deck either kills your action or makes your hand 2nd best, so get while the gettin's good.

you cant do anything but raise here. like zook said soooo many cards kill any action. He either has something he wan'ts to play here, or he's on a pure bluff, and you'll get no more action anyways.

ok, my cib didn't induce a shove. Turn is maybe great, here's hoping he was drawing to the straight/can't fold good draw/whatever - thoughts?
Flop: ($2) 6 , 7 , 5 (2 players)
Hero bets $2, BB raises to $6, Hero raises to $10, BB calls $4
Turn: ($22) 4 (2 players)
Hero bets $22,

why did u cib like, I can't describe how awful it is here. its like waving a hudge flag saying ' HAY I HAVE A MONSTER HERES ODDS TO DRAW!'
Turn sucks because its an action killer but you have to bet pretty big regardless and try to salvage something outta this mess.

Horrendous time to click it back, just make it $22 on the flop. As played betting pot on the turn is fine as he either has a str8 or will fold, if he has a str8 your getting the money in so may as well do it quicker by betting strongly.

Is he 3-betting you a lot in bvb battles pre?
If not, I raise this always.
post-flop, yah like others have said, this is not anywhere near the right board to CiB. This board is drowning in draws and action killers.
I pop it to at least 18ish. It's not like people can fold combo draws, or pairs+insiders, or sets, or low straights. buildddd it up.

yep, my "he'll shove over" read was waaaaaaaaay off. I hated my play when he called - and i agree on how bad this play is.
So consensus on flop play is raise it up somewhere $18-$25, and turn bet as played fine.
River bet size just under pot, or shove? pot $66, $80 behind.
