I've just started playing 6 max 10 NL. I'm following Robb's noobie 5k as a fresh base to start off in 6 max and clean up a leaky game.

1. Had only 27 hands on vill - 44/18 but I wasn't using that for decision. I thought the PSB was a go away now please so I was WA/WB. I think a std raise would have been no good with him being only 40 BB deep. Lastly, should I have not raised with him being shallow due to lack of implied odds if I hit. I'm not sure if those hold the same in 6 as in FR.

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (6 handed) Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

BB ($25.80)
UTG ($4.05)
MP ($3.95)
Hero ($9.70)
Button ($9.85)
SB ($8.60)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 6, 6.
UTG raises to $0.35, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.35, 2 folds, BB calls $0.25.

Flop: ($1.10) 2, 8, 8 (3 players)
BB checks, UTG bets $1.1, Hero raises to $4.4, BB folds, UTG calls $2.60 (All-In).

Turn: ($8.50) K (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: ($8.50) 2 (2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: $8.50

#2 - Very few hands on vill when this one hit. Now have 75 hands logged at 45/20/.85 My main question for this one is the turn shove. I can't remember why I shoved. I'm thinking now it was prob b/c of the smaller stack but I'm thinking a PSB would have been better. Keep in the draws and then reconsider if he pushes back at me.... - and if I did raise say 2-2.5$ do you call a RR by him or fold to the poss str8t/flush board.

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (6 handed) Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Button ($10.40)
Hero ($14.25)
BB ($10)
UTG ($10)
MP ($5.25)
CO ($10)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 6, 6.
1 fold, MP calls $0.10, 1 fold, Button raises to $0.45, Hero calls $0.40, 1 fold, MP calls $0.35.

Flop: ($1.45) 6, Q, 7 (3 players)
Hero bets $1, MP calls $1, Button folds.

Turn: ($3.45) 3 (2 players)
Hero bets $12.8 (All-In), MP calls $3.80 (All-In).

River: ($11.05) 4 (2 players, 2 all-in)

Final Pot: $11.05

I play NL25 and NL50, and I think I would have folded the first hand. I'm quite nitty, but It's working for me. Haven't managed to post much anything yet on this forum.

I think he's willing to felt the hand, because he is short and is c-betting against two opponents ( dry flop, I admit). Still I think you can find better spot to put your money in. Also you don't know what the BB is going to do. His check doesn't necessarily mean weakness.

Analysis #2
Shoving the turn on such an amazingly c0-ordinated board is suicide at the higher levels I hear. But here, I think it's ok.

To those better players: Is this a situation where he turned a set into a bluff? Or at worst a semi-bluff.... since the only hands that will call a board like this probably beat a set?

I've postulated this type of question several times, because it finally hit me what it means, and exactly how I'm affected by it (on a primal lizard brain level)
The older I get, the more I start wondering; Just what in the hell is going on here?

^^^^^^
Thats why I posted this hand. I looked over the HH and thought "why did I do this" I think I was hasty on the shove button. His limp/call could so often be clubs and I think you're right..... my shove only cleans out what I was already beating and pays off the only hands I can't beat unless I make my FH.

Edit - maybe some retarded 2 pair that limped along with the ATC can win theory. But I think a lot of players are willing to fold a strong Q there. There might be a bit more discussion here but for those interested hand 1 - QK hearts and hand two was 45o

I fold hand one. The PSB is scary to me and considering we only have 50% equity against a hand like AhKh and the BB is yet to act I don't like it.

both are fine. shoving turn in the second hand is standard with him only having a PSB left.

Maybe the play is more crap at the higher limits these days?
