When it gets to you PF there is 4 bb in the pot correct? I dont play PL but i think id still raise it to 3 or 4 bb. If i were villian, with so much dead money in the pot, id call 1 bb with 8 9 to see a cheap flop. Its possible he only has 1 or 2 pair, but i dont think its possible to know given the way this hand was played.

Hopefully hes got a big pocket pair that he cant get away from.

hmm...with that line 8 9 is the only thing that makes sense there. Still, there is a lot in his range that you destroy. That is a strange one though.

by the way, who is that in your avatar Jack?

Yeah shove seems easy to me dont know what he bets with on flop and just check calls turn with.

He has a big stack so he might be decent and river bet could be to induce the shove, but the only hand I can see playing this way that beats you is Quad 9's which he should have raised pre.
