I have not had a tough hand in a while, so here goes IMO.

I have not seen villain get out of line, but he has not been at the table long either.

Turn line? how much of his range has a weirdly played overpair, like QhQx? Slowplaying overpairs seem to be the rage IMO

(Cash Game): $0.10/$0.20 NL , 5 players
Tue Aug 26 19:03:00 VET 2008
(Format: BBCode)

BB ($22.05)
B2 ($20.99)
Hero ($108.14)
BN ($8)
SB ($28.45)

BN is the button.

Precards:
SB posts the small blind $0.10, BB posts the big blind $0.20.

Preflop: Hero is dealt :Td: (5 active)
B2 folds, Hero raises to $0.60, BN calls $0.60, SB folds, BB calls $0.40.

Flop: ($1.90, 3 active)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.90, BN calls $0.90, BB raises to $4, Hero calls $3.10, BN folds.

Turn: ($10.80, 2 active)
BB bets $17.45 (all-in), Hero tanks and hates life?????.

I'm calling anyway but this would be a much easier call if you'd just bet $1.50 on the flop. Tons of hands will still give you action, betting less than half the pot is a big error.

I would call here because not much makes sense for him to do this with. He'd have to be the first microstakes player to ever fastplay a boat if he turns up with one, and it seems crazy to put in a big semi-bluff if he's getting such good odds to chase a FD.
Just playing to improve.

TNX guys.

nah, I pussied and folded. I forgot to add he timed down quite a bit before shoving the turn.

It looked [to me] like a weirdly played overpair to me though, like TT or JJ. Or 6h7h - JhTh. I guess we'll never know now.

Cash, I play any NL/PL game (except draw poker) up to $50 buyin. As long as the average pot is big enough.
Variation keeps me from burning out while playing poker, so I typically play 4-6 tables at different sites and at different limits at the same time.

I do suck at minbet though.
