Srry no HH at work and this hand is bothering me.
My image is LAGG PF not so much post-flop, I've been opening a wide range but basically been playing passively with weak-made hands. BTN is a TAGG who just lost a pot about 3 hands ago. BB is a total callingstation fish, he's the reasons I'm sitting, I've already stacked him when he two-barrelled 88 into a King High flop and I just c/c twice with AK in a 3bet pot.
Hero ($220)
BTN ($85)
BB ($70)
Fold to me in the CO with :Ad: :Ah:
Hero raises to $4, BTN raises to $12, BB calls $12, Hero raises to $28...
What do ya think? Should I just shove over? Flat-call? Make a bigger 4bet? What reasoning do we have for 4bet shoving?

hmmm, interesting. i'd just shove. you're pot committed with a 4bet anyways.
edit: spenda talked with me about this, and yes i'm not very clear. i meant that for the villain calling a 4bet is pot committing themself to a showdown almost all the time....so if you 4bet you have to 4bet small to induce calls. but they know what's up...4betting allows your opponents to make a correct fold because very very very very few hands actually 4bet a 3bet + CC.

never just call pre. $33-36. that actually get them way more commited. push any flop and u shold get a call from tp. soemtimes bb will do it for u anyway.even with underpair just to pick it up. also shoving is stupid i think. bb will get commited and making big mistake calling ur 33 but he may not call a shove.s o u must do 2 bets into him to get his stack.

See I was torn between getting value from both players and only getting value from 1 of them.
In all honesty I was trying to just get enough money in PF to shove the flop, I think $28 does that and it gets a lot of value as I don't see either folding for $16 more. The worst spot I get myself into is HU against the TAGG with a $70 pot and he will have $57 behind. Otherwise I'm probably a 3:1 favorite against the field here in a 3way pot, sounds pretty good to me.
What does $36 do? I think I'd rather shove than make it $36. If someone's calling a 4bet to $36 I believe they're calling a shove.

4betting lets them put you on KK/AA. pushing increases your range to AK/QQ and maybe AQ which depend on fold equity.

I think your 4bet size preflop is perfect. You risk little offering good pot odds to your opponents because you are never folding on the flop, and neither villain is deep enough to value from any implied odds. Even if you end up HU with the TAG, you can get it all in on the flop without having to make an overbet.
