Forget what i said yeaterday. Down 6 buyins, lost $150, not sure how but super tilted right now. Lots of spew and am going back to 16NL. Gonna keep my mind off poker for a bit as i hate it atm....
I agree with Cobra, and I like 3-betting pre too.
I'm confused as to why you don't want to call?
Def 3bet preflop
Postflop the raise isn't bad but don't expect to get action from much worse. It's a good way to either take the pot down or know when you're behind. In this situation you've...
Hmm so finally had a decent bunch of good sessions between 16NL and 25NL. And I'm now up to $680 bankroll which means I can go fulltime 25NL! I feel much more comfortable at 25NL.
As a reward for...
Are you really 60 years old?
Good luck dude! and have fun!
I think once he raises you, you can assume he will either go with the hand or not and just raise big committing him rather than giving him odds to call with a draw on the flop by re-minraising him.
I agree with 3betting pre
Thx Daven, helpful post. At first when I saw fish do crazy things it tilted me but now I realize that I should love that stuff afterall :)
Today I'm not playing any poker. Gonna review my past few...
Another thing I've figured out today is that I play MUCH better with 2-3 tables rather than with 4, it's as if with 2-3 tables I have enough time to think about every decision and even do some quick...
I've pretty much come to the realization that even if I'm better than the other players I can't expect to win every single session. I think winning my first 5 sessions in a row since starting poker...
Last night was saturday night. I got my bankroll back up to $500 through the course of last week and I felt like I was ready to take another shot at 25NL and just be more focused and I thought that...
not quite sure what you're trying to do but does it have anything to do with variance and standard deviations related to bb/100?
If so there's already a handy calculator for that online: ev++...
I think he's donking any flush draw, any set and any ace like above said. I would have raise/folded the flop tbh
To you it is out of the question. But this isn't a broad general statement you can make for everyone, it's simply an opinion.
But as I said, I'm not playing poker to make money, I'm playing simply...
on turn call again, and then call any river bet or if he checks make a value bet. (this is considering no clubs come)
I prefer 6-max and find it more fun, I want to learn 6max more than FR because I don't see myself playing FR in the future very often, if anything I may transition into or simply learn HU &/or PLO...
see you go up $100 one session and down $125 the next, overall you're only down 1 buy-in which is nothing. Variance is a part of the game, if you're a winning player just keep grinding your A-game...
this is an easy call for me...
''crazy image'' + 2NL + weird overshove + QQ + you could very well be squeezing (although I doubt anyone at 2NL knows what that is)
Yeah not letting that go...
H1: I don't mind your line of thinking here at all, and there's really a lot of ways to play this hand. Perhaps if you had more reads then we could make a more optimal decision but if your goal was...
OK, so I got my bankroll up to $550 the other day so I was like, hey 22 buy-ins, might as well take a shot at 25NL!
BOOM I get owned and have a bunch of bad beats causing me to play worse and in 2...
I'm a member on DeucesCracked and watch one or more of their videos whilst taking notes on them etc. They definitely help my game, and there's all types of videos ranging from meta-game talk, to...
yeah my bet sizing def needs work lol.
And also a lot of times at the tables I do things I wouldn't do if I look back at the hand (even not being results oriented) simply because I lack time,...
donking is when you bet into the preflop raiser from OOP,
EDIT: oh wait, there was no preflop raiser so donking doesn't apply lol
