If the table is folding to pfrs, then this open is good. If we have a reasonably tight image, then we're repping an overpair pretty convincingly on the flop. I really don't see anything wrong with...
I think the point here with being 'results oriented' is that if your opponent had something on the lower end of his range, you wouldn't have posted the hand.
It's a perfectly reasonable shove....
That thread is good, I just wish someone had posted hands. I will play a session tomorrow and hopefully some good spots will come up and I can post some hands.
We could get a bet on the river if we hit. That said, an implied odds call is a trap here. We never know if a Q or A river is good, and the flush draw is worse than 4:1 against if we discount the...

Fold pre.
Generally, you don't want to mess around with mediocre hands against really big stacks and really small stacks. BU and SB are huge and BB is tiny.
A standard raise pre at this point...
Bet much bigger on the flop.
As played, fold.
edit: also, about the math(s)... he bet more than the pot, you need like ~ 40% to call
Played it pretty standard, stayed a med-big stack through the first few hours then ran kings into aces pre-flop outside the money. In the future I'll avoid satelliting into satellites for satellites.
I've been playing a lot of micro mtts lately. I'm finding myself with 15-20 blinds in the middle of the tourney and basically folding everything until a profitable pre-flop shove presents itself. ...
So I quit poker for a few years after Black Friday. I'm grinding a roll back up with whatever money I had left on the few sites US players can still use. I have been playing micros and small cash...
b/f flop, c/c are both reasonable dependent on payout structure and opponent. c/f probably only if we're close to bubble and concerned he might be crazy agro.
It might be weak but c/c flop and...
For the record in hand 5 I was expecting aggression from BB, hence the lack of a raise pre and the sizing on the flop.
And the word 'thin' shouldn't have been in the title, this post is really...
I take a bet/check/bet line for value a lot. Maybe I'm missing value.
bet sizing? When I call them value spots you can assume I'm betting them.
In Tournament Poker for Advanced Players (I think, might be a different book), Sklansky says always add on.
You buy in because you think you have an edge over the field, those chips are worth more...
1 Why barrel a station?
2 Dry board, big flop bet, he called with something, no sense betting turn.
3 Might not even bet flop here.
Which ones would you bet, and how much?
Hand 1
villain is 21/15 over 250
SB ($4.22)
BB ($13.86)
UTG ($7.31)
MP ($13.26)
Hero (CO) ($22.73)
Button ($10)
call pre is better than 4bet, but I can't fold there.
After flop, our bet looks weak. It almost seems like we've induced a shove. Everything we can do sucks at that point.
A few thoughts on...
Shoving isn't bad, but making it ~600 and calling is probably better.
Suggestion: When you post a hand like this, post your stats and recent action on this table too. The blinds both have...
First thought is b/f 700 but c/f is probably better.
Then again if we're c/fing scary turns (like half the deck) we should probably check flop.

This may be true but the US gov't doesn't act rationally or even in it's own best interests. If it did online poker would have been regulated a decade ago or more and we would have some clue of what...
Ok... so it's a low buyin tourney, I am not giving the villain much credit for thinking. However, plenty of donks float overs, so I went ahead and cbet the flop and barreled the turn.
Is the...
