seems like a great hand to do this with but why not make it 150 so you can get value from JT?

it's a bluff obviously, he has blockers to top two boats and would conceivably play them both the same way. i kinda like it, i'll have to think more about it though.

i was talking from villain's perspective basically

This seems bad. Seems like he has a missed combo draw the majority of the time. I'd give him some room to shove you off a "missed draw."

I doubt this is gonna work unless you're head

I don't think you should bet the turn

So you snap this river shove as villain with JT?

does a 3bet/call on flop is a bad ideea?
do you think on a flop 3bet he folds 9Ts,67s,78s,66,TT,JJ and shoves just sets+?
if he flats a flop 3bet w/ pair+OESD,78s doesnt that make the flop 3bet +EV?

From my experience with rush players I'd rather 3bet flop, because I'm 100% sure any made sets will 4bet/shove me in that spot. Very rarely some AA or KK, but i think they lean towards calling a 3bet like 90% of time. Though I can't be certain will he shove draws and JJ, gotta get intimate with a player to find out that stuff. I suppose with high aggression factor I can expect that.

I find it weird villain didn't lead out turn, but I can see him do it with 66-AA, as well as draws.

I think at this point river shove is a gamble, and very villain dependant. I cant see NL5 to NL25 player ever folding QQ-AA to this river shove (except for very few decent ones). But since at these stakes players often shove river, often having either nuts or air, I don't see myself making this shove against anyone but very disciplined player.

Yes I think most villains will snap JT, after going into c/c down mode on the turn and playing it passively.

This guy was a very decent reg. Any winning regular in the 1/2 SH ftp rush game is going to be a very good solid player. In my opinion it was the toughest 200nl game on the planet.

So I don't understand whether you're saying that you are expecting him to make a bad play, or if you are in fact advocating that calling the river with JT is the correct play?

My stats in the ftp rush game are 19/17/10%.

I mean, I don't really get some of the hands you post. If you're 110% sure on all your reads and how you perceive villains will play all their hands, then posting the hand becomes kind of useless.

Nonetheless, if you are bluffing with 89 here (which seems to be a very reasonable hand to at least be checking back the turn with). Then I don't think its unreasonable that other potential hands in your bluffing range will include some of TT, T8, 9T, AT, Tx, 68 etc. In which case, yes, I think calling JT is the correct play.

At first I thought this was a bluff vs 1010/jj, then you said you're trying to get him to fold j10...
