What's the difference (if any) between clay chips and the clay composite? I was looking around on e-bay and found a set of 500 chips (11.5 g/clay) and a case for like eighty bucks..is it worth it?

well, clay chips are made of actual clay, made with tons of pressure and cooked at about 300 degrees. I think clay composite chips are made of an artificial material to feel like clay, or have some clay in it, something close to one of those two. 11.5 gram clay composite chips should be fine, mike got some from www.5stardeal.com. Real cheap, and you can get as many or as little as you want. If you really want real clay chips, paul-son makes the chips for casinos, even the ones with the coin inserts like on the WSOP, you can find sets from paul-son on ebay.
that sig still makes me smile
very cool..thank u much....the one's im thinking of getting are the 'feel like clay' kind' and have a metal insert in them (?)..hey, as long as they sound cool when pullin the stacks in from the pot..hahaha
as for the sig..well, i should learn the rules before i open my mouth and cry foul..hahahaha....
and for busting some cool chip tricks to intimidate your opponets, try the chip twirl trick at your next game, trust me.Quote:

After witnessing that miraculous double-handed chip trick, I would be so scared I'd fold my pocket aces!Quote:

After owning these 11.5 chips, and using 8g ones at the casions, i think I'll just buy the lighter ones. they ahve 9g clay composite chips. For home use I don't think I'll notice the difference. Besides these are about 30% cheaper than the 11.5 ones.
lol, I haven't tried it with both hands at the same time, definitely will practice. I know what you mean, that twirl trick or others have become a habit, I do them with anything, like when I get 3 quarters in change after buying something.
There should be a new forum on how to do 'chip tricks'.....I'm still learning to do the 'shuffle' with the chips
HOLY CRAP!! HAHAHA, THIS IS GREAT!!! THANK YOU!!!
NEATO!
