Default Winning Poker Network - Official Thread

Hello and welcome to the ACR thread!

I’m here to help with all your needs, big and small.

I can answer any question about a promo or game, software features, or if you need help with funding or payouts. Feel free to post when you have a question about a bonus, need help navigating the site, or with anything whatsoever.

To get us started here is a bit of insider news hot off the press. Americas Cardroom has just introduced a new type of nosebleed $5,000+$100 Cash Game, it’s called The Cage. This high-stakes cash game with a time-based tournament format is all-out war! I’ll post the satellite schedule as soon as I get my hands on it.

To get in the game, visit: Americas Cardroom today for more details.

I'm starting to pick up on very subtle differences between your and jyms' respective admin styles.

I like the idea of rake being based on timed sessions.

It's certainly very similar, sans the fact that I would have banned his ass for posting this shit in the commune.

I was actually referring to his use of emoticons in his posts, I couldn't picture you doing something as drastic as banning someone for such a small infraction. That's crazy talk!

I'll bite - I remember trying to deposit a while back and wasn't able to get a credit card to work, everything was declined. Not sure if it's gotten better since, but do you have any suggestions or anything for deposit options and/or any kind of prepaid cards that may work?

i got a question about the software. How come the player first to act on showdown doesnt have to show their cards? every place ive played online or live the first to act in showdown must show hole cards.
  10. #10
also i got a suggestion on the beast promo. get ride of it on medium/low/micro tables. you gotta play a TON of hands just to have a shot at making the leaderboard and even then your chances are still not good. Beast should be on high limit tables. and leave the poor mans rakeback alone. just my opinion on the matter.

Good point, it might be better to have something easier to reach on low limit tables.

    Hi Matt,

The software is, in fact, set to show the cards when you call a bet on the river and it goes to showdown. We are monitoring the situation you reported to follow up with the developers. I will appreciate if you find any specific hand where this has happened so that we can review the issue with as much information available as possible.

In regards to The Beast promotion, I have passed along the feedback to our Marketing Department for review and to try to implement a promotion more suited to lower stakes players.

Thx for the info. I dont have the hand saved. But it was sb, utg and button that went all way to showdown. Everybody checked on river. But when it came to the showdown however, the sb and utg mucked without any hands being shown. The button won with Ace high. I always thought that the players first to act in showdown must show the hole cards since no hands have been shown yet to determine if there hands are any good. This has happened several times in different ways. If the first player to act on showdown doesnt have winner its auto mucked or if they have auto muck off they still have the option to muck without showing hole cards. How can the player first to act in showdown muck their cards without knowing whether or not their hand is winner or not?

Thanks for the report. I have forwarded all the information available about this issue to our developers. If you would like to PM me your username I can send you an e-mail as soon as we have a resolution on this matter.

The Cage surpassed all expectations in its debut.

A whopping 66 players either direct bought in or qualified to the inaugural event of The Cage which took on Wednesday, October 8th. The total prize pool was $330,000, which meant there was plenty of money to go around for all the combatants.

The Cage participants had just three hours to dropkick their way to victory. Players bik6624235 ($29,947), UpayformyKia ($20,921) and vasya9 ($15,556) were the top 3 winners when the clock counted down to zero.

The Next Cage is Already Here

The date has been set for the next big time-based cash game, Americas Cardroom players can look forward to another groundbreaking online poker event on November 12, 2014 at 8:00pm ET. Satellites are already running from as low as $1.65.

On December 14th, Americas Cardroom is guaranteeing $1 million in Winning Millions, the first Sunday million-dollar tournament to hit US shores in nearly four years. Players can buy directly in for $500+$40 or find a low buy-in qualifier for just a few dollars.
