Default My NJ Online Casino Experiences

I'm headed out there soon so I'll be documenting what works and what doesn't work for this regulated market. Hopefully this will make it easier for other people who want to gamble online when visiting NJ.

You don't have to be in NJ to make an online poker/casino account and fund it. Obviously you have to be in the state when gambling.

I'm trying to get everything setup before I get there so that I can go straight to the games when arriving.

Making a Tropicana account was easy.

    Depositing wasn't easy at first:
-My Visa credit card didn't go through.
-My Visa debit card didn't go through.
-7 Eleven PayNearMe didn't work (support then told me that PayNearMe only works inside the state of NJ).

I then used ACH to make a deposit. ACH is smooth and easy.

Lesson 1: Use ACH when depositing at Tropicana.

Thanks for the info, Eric. I've been interested in reading a step-by-step process of what New Jersey players must do to gamble online. Up to this point, the only feedback I've seen were Tom Breitling's videos which are now out of date given Ultimate Poker's exit from both New Jersey & Nevada.

It isn't that bad so far if you're comfortable using ACH for deposits and giving them your social.

Using ACH, I made a deposit at Caesars.

Installed the Tropicana app and the Caesars app from the app store on my ipad. Searching for "Caesars Interactive Entertainment" brought up 3 results and I chose the one that says Caesars Casino Games.

Neither is in the google play store. I had to download from these spots for my samsung s5 phone:
    www.tropicanacasino.com
    www.caesarscasino.com/en/android-app

Borgata is a little more interesting. Unlike Tropicana and Caesars, I can't login at Borgata on my laptop in ff without getting this message:
Hey there! In order for our software to work properly, we're required by law to
confirm your physical location. That means updating your browser with the
required plugin. All you need to do is download and install it, which only takes a
moment. Then click 'Continue' to get back to the tables.

Installed the GeoComply Browser Plugin in chrome and made an e-check deposit at Borgata.

Used Instant e-checks to make a deposit at Borgata (same thing as ACH).

Used app store for ipad. Used browser dl for samsung s5.

That covers the 3 biggest online casinos in the market:
    Borgata (casino and poker)
    Caesars (casino and poker)
    Tropicana (casino only)

I'm looking forward to having some fun online at these spots soon.

I liked the Borgata app/software best.

Tropicana isn't bad once you get going but the login process can be a pain. If you accidentally close the app or something then starting over means getting a text and entering a code. Looking back at my phone, they sent me text messages/codes 9 times in just a few hours.

Caesars was stuck in play mode or something.

Not having a lot of time, I just did video poker and blackjack even though Borgata/Caesars have hold'em.
