Darren Elias Wins WPT Borgata Poker Open

Professional poker player Darren Elias topped a field of 1,200+ in the 2014 World Poker Tour Borgata Poker Open ($3,300+200 buy-in) this weekend--taking home the first place prize of $843,700.

The victory marks Elias' largest live poker tournament cash over the course of a six year career.

For its part, the WPT Borgata Poker Open Main Event exceeded its guaranteed prize pool of $3 million by nearly one-third.

Seems like the lowering of the buy-in was a good decision!
