Ending up beating whole roll on presidential race. 1/2 the roll on overall winner and other half split on 4 state bets for Obama to win (Wis, Nev, N.H, Ohio). 1 state bet for Romney (N.C.) These are all heavy favorite bets, so low rewards if I win.
  9. #9
Sweet, good luck. Did you bet Obama to overall win? Odds over here are 1/6 now, what odds did you get?

    Love betting the exotics btw...

Bovada will throw out some really odds ones from time to time. Last one I got in on was 'Will Kim Kardashian get engaged to Kayne West before the end of the year?'

I made this bet in June (bet was only up on Bovada for week or so). Didn't know then, but turns out Kim current divorce is still pending in courts and now it doesn't seem like it will get resolved until the new year.

What is the weirdest bet you have put money on?

    Thanks.

Had 1/3 odds on average... had made three different bets in last few weeks.

Swept all my bets! Ohio was the only State I had to sweat.

$0 bankroll is back up to $350. w00t.

    For baseball fans:

Here are a few props surrounding Josh Hamilton and the Angels.

Los Angeles World Series Odds pre Josh Hamilton 12-1
Los Angeles World Series Odds post Josh Hamilton 15-2

“There was no doubt that wherever Hamilton went that team would in turn see a significant move in their World Series odds but not too many would have jumped to the favorites which has in fact happened to the Angels who have dropped from 12-1 to 15-2 putting them just ahead of the Dodgers who sit at 8-1. This is two years in a row that the Angels have made a huge signing which has drastically affected their odds and am just glad I do not have to sit in anticipation constantly monitoring these odds awaiting where Hamilton was going to end up.”

“Even though this season we have seen at least five different teams as the favorite to win the Super Bowl, there is no doubt with clinching home field advantage that the Broncos are the clear frontrunner at 3-1. The Texans who were once at the top of the list have drifted off now at 14-1 and we cannot write a bet on them while some teams who ended the season strong such as Indy, Cincy, and Washington are taking some long shot money. The Vikings at 35-1, despite being over a touchdown underdog in their Wild Card game against the Packers, right now are the biggest loser for the book if they can somehow win it all. While funny enough, we are in the same situation as last year with the Patriots at 15/4 as the team with the biggest potential win for us.”

    NFL Odds:

“I am not too shocked that the public is pounding the 49ers after their performance last week, or should I say Kaepernick’s, hence the early line move going from 3.5 point to 5 point favorites already and is not really making a difference as 75% of the money is still coming in on them. Last week the bettors had no problem taking New England -10 over Houston, costing the book a pretty penny on Sunday, but this week is a little different as believe it or not 70% of the money is on Baltimore getting 10 points, and is one of those rare weeks as a bookmaker I get to root for the Patriots.”

Next round of crazy Bovada bets for me. Placed these a couple weeks ago.

Who will be the next pope?
$28.72 on 7/2 Marc Ouellet (Canada)

Then I put a hedge bet a couple days later:
$20 9/4 Peter Kodwo Appiah Turkson (Ghana)

    Then some long shots:
$5 20/1 Odilo Pedro Scherer (Brazil)
    $5 16/1 Francis Arinze (Nigeria)

    ----- Update -----
Odds today are 6/1 for Marc Ouellet and 11/4 for Peter Kodwo Appiah Turkson and 33/1 for Francis Arinze... ugh!
Odilo Pedro Scherer is 12/1 now...

6/19 Around 1pm Tweet: LeBron headband prop from @BovadaLV: Wearing headband at Game 7 tipoff? Yes (1/2), No (3/2).

Anyone else get in on this action? I put down a $80 Yes bet... should be the easiest $40 ever.

I checked back a 6/19 3pm and was Yes(1/5), No(4/1?). Checked back an hour later and Bovada had stopped taking action.
