Default Debit Card Information Compromised at Full Tilt Poker

I'm sure most of you saw this thread and thought "loltroll." Unfortunately, I'm not a troll and this thread is truths; allow me to continue:

I was checking up on my bank statement (as everybody should do). I saw a fishy transaction made for $59.92 to Dubai (can it get any fishier?). I comment on IRC about this and this chat took place:

<BooG> im pretty sure i didnt order anything from dubai lately
<BooG> so yeah, fraudulent transaction on my debit card :\
<@spoonNgrind> did you use it on ftp
    <BooG> yes
<@spoonNgrind> need to get a new card asap then

He links me to two 2+2 threads:

Warning: Credit Card on Full Tilt compromised - Internet Poker - Online Poker Forum
Don't use your VISA at Full Tilt Poker - Internet Poker - Online Poker Forum

So I obviously call my bank immediately and ask for a new card. I also email FTP cashier, security, and support to notify them of this problem and my disappointment. Hopefully this is rectified but I've heard bad stories about FTP support.

And just as I was beginning to advocate the switch to FTP.

Cliffs: Do NOT deposit onto Full Tilt Poker (at least using your debit/credit card).

That's how winners play; we convince the other guy he's making all the right moves.

Not a good thing. At least you reviewed your transactions and did not let it get old and roll off before you noticed this fishy transaction. I just used a card of mine that I only keep $550 in , but it would be no fun to hassle with getting moneys returned like what happened to you. Hopefully, this is your first and last transaction of this sort...
