PokerStars Weekly News Update 5/07/2012
1.) The 2012 Spring Championship of Online Poker kicked off with some massive tournaments. The first two events, which included 6 total tournaments, busted through every and all guarantees. With some massive first-place prizes on the line, the events were put on hold in the early hours of Monday morning, and will re-start again today.
2.) Speaking of big tournaments, the PokerStars Main Event Passport is back. Players can qualify for the Main Events of the WSOP, PCA, EPT, LAPT, and APPT through PokerStars. Winners of the satellite system will receive a $13,000 prize package to be used on the tournament of their choice. You can enter via cash or VPP satellites, and try to work your way through their step system for the ticket.
3.) PokerStars has created a new hand replayer, one that allows players to instantly upload hands into video from. There is a play button in the chat box that appears after the hand is over, or you can retrieve the video from the Instant Hand History window. Hands are automatically uploaded to Online Poker Hand Replayer | BOOM! Hand Replayer.
4.) The 100k Depositor Freerolls are being doubled throughout May. Players can now play in 8 $1,000 freerolls per day for 31 days, more than $200,000 in giveaways from PokerStars. Just deposit between now and the end of the month, and you will be given an unlimited ticket to play in as many events as you want.
