PokerStars Weekly News Update 4/30/2012
1. Road to 100 Billion: 80 Billion - PokerStars will be handing out loads of prizes for players who are fortunate enough to participate in milestone hands. For every 1,000,000 hands on their way to 80,000,000,000 total hands dealt, PokerStars will award players cash prizes based on VPPs earned over the course of your session. There will be 301 milestone hands, with the final one being a Mega Milestone on the 80 Billionth hand.
2. As was mentioned last week, news broke that PokerStars might be buying out online giant FullTilt. FTP had been unable to come to an agreement with the US Department of Justice, who shut down US traffic there over a year ago. Because FullTilt could not pay their players, their gaming license was revoked, shutting down their site completely, Since then, numerous parties have bee rumored to been in negotiations with FTP, but nothing concrete has happened. PokerStars is the latest entity to join this group, although it appears this deal might actually go through.

4. Justin Bonomo won the PokerStars Monte-Carlo EPT Grand Final Super Roller - The €100,000 buy-in event attracted the world's best poker players, but in the end, it was Justin "ZeeJustin" Bonomo who took down the €1,640,000 first-place prize. Bonomo beat a stacked final table that included PokerStars pros Daniel Negreanu and Bertrand "Elky" Grosspellier.
