i can't connect to pokerstars through my school's wireless network. i can connect to party and full tilt though. is stars having a problem or is it just me? any suggestions anybody?
Wikipedia is the best thing ever. Anyone in the world can write anything they want about any subject. So you know you are getting the best possible information.

Your school may have firewalled certain websites to prevent access.

i thought of that but i wouldn't be able to access pokerstars.com then right? also, why block stars and not party?

Maybe the Stars program is more invasive in some way, maybe its method of communicating with the user is more security-threatening?

Because you can access the pokerstars.com website doesn't necessarily mean the client should work... it is likely that your school has blocked certain ports, including the one that the stars client uses.

Party and FullTilt work on my office network but Stars doesn't...
