Ok... So I just registered at win2day. It's theoretically the only site that is legal for austrians to play, but it judging by the number of PS caps and t-shirts in the local cardrooms, it is not a big deal to ignore that.
What can I say. 10NL plays like playmoney. I'm not joking. WHOLE table limps - raise to 2€ - 3 callers... and repeat.
I feel like such a moron playing on party where I've been trying to figure out how to beat a table that folds to the bb every second hand with 50% of the players shortstacking 20bb, and almost everybody multi-tabling.
MAJOR downside: The software sucks monkey balls. Constant soundeffects, but not a bleep when it's your turn to act, and no visual cues either, making multi-tabling pretty much impossible. - I have sound turned off on party, so that's not it. I don't know why but I missed my turn on every second hand - and then you have a 10 second window to post the small blind dead to get back in, otherwise you're sitting out again.
First hand I played was AK UTG+1. UTG limps, I make it 1€ to go - 3 calls. Button raises €3 all-in. UTG raises €5 all-in. I move over the top, callers fold
AK vs 89 vs Q9.
I'm in poker heaven.

i dont think it's illegal in austria to play at other sites - i know at least one cardroom which runs his own ongame skin and they advertise it in their cardroom and on their website.
Btw, are there only austrians playing at win2day and do know how many games run at 100NL and above?

Thanks! Found it. Will join tonight.

There are only austrians playing at win2day - you need a bank account in austria to deposit.
During the week there are 20 players or less at 200NL and only in the evening.
2/4 and occasionally 5/10 are open on the weekend, but mostly short-handed.
100NL and 50NL are more common. Can't comment on the play there yet.
My first 18 days:

Play is only unbelievably horrible around the weekend. During the week it gets more solid, but it's still a fishfest.

I don't think so. Judging by how long it takes them to legislate anything that isn't a last minute decision in a desperate attempt to get votes, I don't think this will be on the table before 2012.
I think it's only a bit scary because it's todays news. Thanks btw - I only read SN and they don't print on sunday.
We have two of the biggest - if not the biggest - card rooms in europe with another one opening this week. They won't go down without a fight, and neither will the online rooms.
