I have done some searching on bonuses and can't really find anything that discusses possible reasons WHY stars doesn't offer more bonuses.
Wouldn't they be able to attract and keep more players if they offered a initial deposit bonus?
I know party has a higher rake, but if stars has enough money that they can keep all moneys in all players accounts in a seperate secur account, couldn't they also afford to offer a little better incentives to keep players playing there?
Yeah, you earn FPP's but only if the rake gets so high so the micro players get jacked compared to the benefits that other higer limit players receive.
I like to play at stars, but between their lack of bonuses and the generally tougher games, there seems to be little reason to play there over other sites. Any opinions on any of this?

I guess they know that they have the best tournaments, and just hope to use that to attract people (which seems to work pretty well).

When they do offer em though they never expire so I love that aspect. I have lots banked so when no other site is offering a phat reload I can go back and work on those. Same as interpoker. Last forever.

My guess is that with the last two WSOP champs promoting PokerStars they are doing quite well without offering bonuses.
And as already said, they are the best site for tournaments.

It is well known that stars offers the best tournaments on the web, but as a ring game player who accumulates few FPP's, stars is quickly losing it's appeal. Becuase to earn the occassional bonus that they do offer, you must acquire a certain number of FPP's to receive the bonus, I don't really see much of an advantage to playing there if you play ring games unless you are playing stakes high enough that every hand is raked at a high enough level to accumulate those points on every hand. It seems that if you are BR'ed enough to play at least 1/2, there are better places out there to play.
